I am trying hard to budget my trip to Disney. I would like to find a work from home position. I would like to know if anyone knows any answering service position or I have googled and found hca healthcare work from home. Does anyone know of the jobs they allow from home?

If you are looking at ways to save money, have you started using ShopKicks where you can earn gift cards? It will take some money off your budget. My mom loves Shopkicks and gets about $5-10 in Target gift cards a week. She is retired and she does get all of the bar codes every week as well. I don't scan bar codes very often but we have an outdoor mall so it's easy to pull up to the various stores and get walk-in points.

I know of quite a few Work From Home jobs but they are full-time and require 4-12 weeks training at their training facilities. Working from home full-time is not as easy as some may think. For the jobs I am familiar with you still have to put in 8 very productive hours and only get two 20 minute breaks a day. They can tell when you are logged in or idle from the computer/phone or don't submit the correct quota amount of work.

Have you considered selling on e-bay or some local Facebook On-line Yard Sale boards? The Facebook On-Line Yard Sales are very popular in my area and is also a great way to declutter and make some extra cash.

I have heard of people being paid to take survey's. Then there is also ways to sign up to be a secret shopper for stores and get paid for evaluating the customer service/experience.

MTurk is an Amazon crowd sourcing site. You can do odd jobs that add up. They are simple and I can do them while watching TV.

My sister in law makes quite a bit of money on Elance. She's been on there for probably 2+ years though, but she's built a huge client base (doing personal/online assistant stuff, data entry, and a few other things I'm not sure of) and easily makes 70k a year now.

Do you already have health care experience? I do medical transcription from home as an independent contractor on my own schedule. I did a certificate training program for it though as my pre-mom life wasn't in health care, and the training is many months long. But if you could sell yourself in a resume as being able to create or edit medical records, jobs are posted daily at mtjobs contractor.

I worked part-time - around 20 hours a week. It varied depending on how much work my clients sent to me. It was perfect because a lot of my work could be done at any point during the day, or even at night after my DS went to bed. They claim to be ideal for WAHMs and students. When I left, they were starting to push for full, 40-hour weeks. But again, just depends on your client and work load. I had six clients with various pricing/hour plans. Check them out - the hiring process takes a little while (about a month for me) just fyi. HCA is a reputable company. However, the work from home program is generally limited to specific skill sets. I know they have had Medical Coders who were able to do this along with collection specialists. They MIGHT have some remote registration personnel for outpatient services.

I expect their requirements on time and "space" are very rigid.

You might also want to look into the websites flexjobs.com and Virtual Vocations. Both sites require a fee, however, but they list a lot of telecommuting and work-at-home jobs with well-known companies (Dell, United Healthcare, Disney, etc.).

Very true-my friend did Medical transcription from home. At one point her DH was very ill and had to take him to appointments etc and she was warned several times about the excess time off she was taking

Employees have to work set hours. I don't know if FMLA leave would have applied, but that's something anyone providing care to a loved one should investigate.

Many more home transcription situations involve being an independent contractor with more flexibility.

Sadie- she used to do at the Hospital then the work got contracted out and she went to work for them from home.
It was a hard time for her- her DH eventually died from diabetes complications & heart problems
