We had over a foot of snow yesterday. Now it's raining. Then it'll freeze. The it'll snow more. I DO like winter weather and the change of seasons, but as I had out to shovel AGAIN, I thought I'd check out the boards for a bit of Disney inspiration. I'm dreaming of our March trip today!

I can understand. We got six inches overnight. Try to hang in there. March will be here before you know it. When you're done shoveling drink some hot chocolate and watch a Disney movie. Better yet, watch the Disney Vacation DVD if you have that. Stay warm and try not to wear yourself down shoveling.

I can understand but I will take the snow over the cold here this week, started teh car a couple of mornings here at below 0 F this week, Way to early for that kind of cold, am looking forward to our WDW trip in January.

Good luck

Sorry about your snow, corinascot. We got a little snow but a whole lot of cold -- brrrrrrrrrrrrrr! Was just watching the news and they're showing quite a mess at a number of Midwestern airports. Major major delays and canceled flights. Oh, those poor folks.

We're not flying out until late March, so hopefully, won't experience any sort of snow problems (but crazier things have happened). By then, I figure we'll be so very ready to get out of the cold.:flower1:

Try to hang in there! DH tried to fly out of Cleveland at 9:00 this morning and didn't make it down untill after 5:00 because of those conditions! And that was on a direct flight. (Almost didn't make it to the airport) They had to reboard three times, then the trucks that de-ice kept on freezing up. Even a towing-type truck for the plane brake down due to the weather! Planes were stuck all over the place!

He did manage to make the great escape down here, but Spring time get-a-ways are alot easier on the nerves!

Try to stay warm up there!

I would just about offer to change places with any of you except for the fact that the Grands are due tonight for our Christmas. LOL

We got over 20 inches of snow and then the wind piled it up even higher and now the cold is killing me. Brrrrrr! I need more than Calgon, I need a limosine (if only one could get through the interstates) - better make that a helicopter as I think I can shovel out a big enough space, for a small one and a quick and lengthy trip to DW, NOW!!!!!

A friend reminded me that we are marching toward Spring. I would much rather spring toward March. (sigh)

Is a very long time until next November (our next DW trip)

Slightly Goofy/Linda

I feel your pain, but not as much as poor SlighlyGoofy/Linda. I'm assuming she is down towards Evansville with all the snow she's talking about. I'm in Lafayette (about an hour north of Indianapolis) and we were "lucky" and only got ~4 inches of snow Wednesday night. Of course, right now it's 0º, with a windchill of -7º! Tomorrow we're going to break into the teens with a high of 15º, break out the swim suits!! Our Spring Break/Easter WDW trip can't get here soon enough. When I woke up Thursday morning and saw the snow I said "I want to move to Florida NOW!!!" The older I get, the more I hate winter. Someday I'll have a palm tree for a Christmas tree!!

dznyacct, thank you so much for the sympathy. LOL We are south of Indpls, near Columbus, IN and it seems as if we got hit the hardest. Usually the northern parts of IN get the worst but not this time. Is probably my fault as I was heard to complain when they were predicting 4 inches. I am so sorry for not being grateful for ONLY 4 inches. The main roads are slowly getting cleared but that is a moot point with us as we live between two churches and the only place to put the snow so that services could be held was in front of our garage. Small sacrifice from us to allow others to enjoy though. Will probably be Tues or so until we can get out. Have loads of presents to enjoy in the meantime. I would move south in a minute if it were not for the grands, maybe not so far though as heat is a problem for me. I hope that a palm tree is in your future. Check it for rodents before bringing in to trim though. No matter where you live there is always something to deal with. LOL

I posted this last night on the Resorts Board. Guess I should have posted it over here, too. ;)

For all of you who are dreaming of your next Walt Disney World vacation, don’t forget that all sorts of video clips reside on-line at the official Walt Disney World website.

I was ordering the Vacation Planning Video this evening when I noticed that the video also resides on-line. I viewed a theme park video (in particular, Disney-MGM Studios since that park now holds a special place in my heart), and then went straight to the Resorts videos (the heart and soul of my family’s vacations). It was fun getting a quick fix regarding a few of my favorite resorts: Grand Floridian, Animal Kingdom Lodge, Port Orleans, All-Star, and so on.

To view the Resorts video clips, click here. (Note: On that webpage resides the links to the Theme Park videos, the Fun for Everyone videos, and the More Magic videos. There are enough videos to keep the average Dis'er amused for quite awhile.)

Enjoy!

Our last two trips to WDW have been in July, and I'm so excited we are going in March this year. I wish it was sooner, but every winter I get cabin fever big time and need to go someplace warm and sunny. I feel better already just having something to look forward to. I hope you survive the snow. Remember, you can always hire somebody to do your shoveling:)
