Looking for trip insurance

Hi. We have never purchased trip insurance before and are considering it for an overseas cruise. Can anyone recommend a good company? We would specifically need one that fully covers pre existing conditions. Thank you!

I look at one of the online comparison sites to start. When did you first make your deposit? If within the past couple of weeks, you should qualify for a free PEC waiver; if it was longer ago, that could get pricey. Most important, once you narrow down some choices, call and ask specific questions of things you definitely want covered. There can be a lot of small print and confusing language in the contracts, so confirming you have the coverage you want is important before buying.

First, find out what coverage you already have. If you booked with a credit card you may very well have free coverage there.
Then check your medical coverage.
No need to buy duplicate coverage.
Then shop around for the coverage you need with the best price.
I've only purchased trip insurance twice in my 62 years.
Once on DCL because the trip was the most expensive I have ever taken, and because it was during Christmas when weather is bad and airports packed.
Second was for our October cruise last year on Celebrity. I only bought it because it was ONLY $25 for full coverage. It was an off peak cruise, and they were running a promotion to try and fill the ship.
