Looking for Tips to Make Taking "Stuff" for Colonoscopy Prep Easier

I went through the barium enema, colonoscopy and sigmoidoscopy series several years ago and had to choke down the phospho-soda stuff a few times. After being unable to keep it down due to the taste I tried this series of tricks:

• numb the taste buds with ice cubes.
• completely deaden the taste buds with concentrated lemon juice.
• get the stuff down your throat as quick as possible -- by any means possible.
• enjoy an evening at home.

While the going can get painful (those wet wipes would have been very welcome ), the drug cocktail that is administered prior to the colonoscopy will soothe all the pain. However, when the drugs wear off in 24 hours, just "be there."
