Hello all!

Long time lurker!

About a week ago we were offered a free (!!!!!) timeshare in the Orlando area (10 miles away). Of course we took it and now are frantically trying to gameplay in the short time we have.

One debate we are having is whether to get a 3 or 4 day ticket. The last time we were at Disney we stayed at Carribean Beach in mid Sept 2014. I think the crowd calendars were around 3-5. Now, for the August week we are seeing 8+ crowd numbers. I think we should get the four day to get to do as much as possible. But then we debate on 3 days because we have a feeling it might be miserable for our 5 and 2 year olds with as many people. Any thoughts on 8+ crowds and last minute plans?

Any other tips or thoughts for short term planning would be much appreciated!!

Thanks!

:welcome: Awesome about the free timeshare! We are going in early August as well. I would opt for the 4 day ticket. I'm guessing the price difference isn't TOO much, and I think 4 days would give you more flexibility, especially if you find the crowds are too much. For instance, if your kids are feeling overwhelmed, you can take a break from the parks knowing that you have an "extra" day to go back. I am trying not to worry about the "crowd levels," too much. It is what it is, I guess, and while we have some things planned out, we will also take it as it comes as much as possible/necessary. I would suggest going ahead and booking some FPs (assuming you will be purchasing your tickets in advance) to be sure that you will get on some rides with little waiting. Also, we are planning to get to the parks as close as possible to opening on most days to avoid the highest crowds, so you might want to consider that as well. Have fun!!! :flower1:

We will be there 8/2-8/12 and I would say do the 4 day ticket as well. Go at RD and stay as long as possible, take a break and head back later in the evening if your kids are up for it. Most of all have fun!

Also going first week of August

We were there last year 7/28-8/7 and while it was busy, the crowds didn't overwhelm me. I've also been reading a lot that the crowds are lower this summer than normal so those crowd calendars may be a bit off?

I'd go with the 4 day too. As others have said, it will give you more flexibility. Have a great time!
