We are flying in on Monday and I'm just wondering how the temp and humidity are. I've been in August before, but are people generally finding better, worse, or average?

Haven't been here in August before

It's really hot, really humid. I can see why people suggest breaks in the afternoon.

I expected it hotter. Some days in July we had back home were this hot.

It's been average..which is brutally hot and insanely humid. I left work the other night at 9:30pm and the humidity out was like walking through a sauna

We were there august 9-16. Most mornings at the parks it felt hot as the surface of the sun - the heat really got to me this trip, more so than previous Augusts when we have gone.

Today was the worst we have had. We were at MK and according to the weather app temp was 34 but "real feel" was 44!!!! Everywhere that has lots of concrete felt really oppressive. We are trying to walk through the shops or in the shade where possible and stop in air con cafes for drinks rather than carts. Break mid afternoon etc. It's still hot in the evenings but at least when the sun goes down that's one less thing!!

Its definitely been hot but even though its been hitting 95 degrees the last couple of days about a month ago it was in the high 90's,so very hot right now but not the hottest of the year cause when it was hitting 98 the heat indexes were near 110 degrees.

It's really hot and humid but just what I expected. As hot as it is, I remember it being worse the last time we were here in August 2014. The mid-afternoon breaks are essential in keeping everyone happy.

Monday at AK was really, really hot and humid. My weather app said Real Feel of 106. Yesterday at Epcot it said Real Feel of 101, but it felt much cooler. I think because there were some clouds blocking the sun at times and a bit of breeze. We went to the MK around 7:00 last night, and it was much more pleasant as the sun started to go down, but still pretty humid.

A weather report for "right now" (5 days before the OP arrives) isn't really going to help. Simply go to Weather.com and enter Walt Disney World for the forecast on Monday. That will give you (at best) an indication of what temperature/humidity you might get on Monday.

However, basically at this time of year in central FL you're going to have temperatures in the mid-90's during the day and high humidity. You'll also get a mid-day thunderstorm. We live just a couple of miles from the MK and those are just typical conditions.

We've been here four weeks, and have another week left. The first week was insanely hot, then it cooled a bit. This last week has been incredibly hot again, with very high humidity. Doesn't help there hasn't been any rain though.

This past week has felt hotter then usual. It's been mostly sunny for the past week and there has been no rain.

This is our first August visit to our snowbird home and it has been brutal. But then we are used to New Hampshire summer weather. Temperatures have been at or slightly above normal. Dew points in the upper 70's. It is a bit cloudy this morning so the temperature is -only- 81F at 8:30am. As others have noted there have been a bit less rain. Or perhaps better stated the afternoon thundershowers have been a bit more spotty. We have seen the dark clouds and heard a lot of thunder off in the distance but haven't had rain at our place in four days.

The weather guessers have started to gloom and doom over the possibility that a tropical depression out in the Atlantic might grow in strength and head towards FL by Sunday. Too many variables to worry about that now.

Be prepared for Florida summer and have a magical trip!

It's central Florida in August. I can tell with certain accuracy that it's very hot and very humid.

I jinxed it when I said we hadn't had rain. This morning it clouded up and now we have rain/thunder going through. Dropped the temperature back down to 81F. Summer in Florida....
