My "girls only" trip is less than two weeks away :Pinkbounc . I'm looking for things to do down there for four women (ages from 44...me :D to 51). We are going to Busch Gardens, one day, we are going to a "murder mystery" dinner one night. This is going to be a relaxing vacation, for all of us. We'll probably spend most days by the pool, but we do want to sightsee.

Any suggestions are welcome!

TIA

Fisherman's Village is right in that area, Punta Gorda. There are little shops and places to eat right along the Charlotte Bay. The views are great. It's a nice way to spend a couple of hours and not have to travel very far.

Also, the Ringling Museum in Sarasota is a beautiful place to spend time. We took a tour of John Ringling's house and the grounds and the Ringling Brother's Museum is right next door.

If you are in the mood for some fun, try a Segway tour of downtown Sarasota. It is a wonderful 1-1/2 to 2 hour tour of the downtown area riding on a Segway! It was a blast. Go to www.floridaever-glides.com and check it out.

Have a great time.
