Looking for reviews from prior Thanksgiving Meals. We are going to be in Thanksgiving this year and would love to hear dining reviews from years past as we have never been at this time of year before. Thanks in advance!:)

The dining is just like any other time of year..except Thanksgiving day where many of the restaurants offer a traditional Turkey meal.

Many of the resorts are decorated for Christmas...in the common areas, not the restaurants. All parks have decorated trees and festive lighting. Its pretty, but you will not notice anything different about the dining.

Enjoy!

We usually go during Thanksgiving and are going again this year. I have been disappointed with the meals we have had on Thanksgiving. The ones I remember most are Whispering Canyon one year and California Grille last year. Both places had very limited menus. WC had only one menu and while it was a traditional Thanksgiving meal, I would have prefered choice (and it really was not that good). Cali Grille was a greater disappointment as it was 2 table services and the menu only offered a choice of 1 flatbread type, 1 soup and 2 or 3 entree choices. Again, it really was not that good either. Menus from past years are on line so you can see which ones offer a limited menu and which ones have a regular menu. I prefer the choices, even for Thanksgiving.

We checked into the Wilderness Lodge on Thanksgiving Day a few years ago, and they "squeezed" us in at Whispering Canyon. The turkey dinner was traditional served family style and we did eat our fill of turkey, stuffing, and mash potatoes. We had no room left for dessert and since it was included in the price the waitress wrapped 4 huge pieces of pumpkin pie with whipped cream that we took back to our villa and put in the frig for breakfast the next morning. Who says you can't have pie for breakfast - hey this is Disney afterall.

Thanks for the responses. Does anyone know when the christmas decorations are put out?

Yikes! I thought they would have their regular menu for TG too. We are booked there for dinner that day and really didn't want a traditional dinner (2 of the kids won't eat it). I guess we'll have to stick with it because everything else is probally booked by now. Oh well, at least we are going to Disney again!:cool1:
