We're going down April 15-26th (MA Spring Break), our plane lands around midnight, staying at Coronado Springs Resorts however, there are no rooms available for our first night. When they booked our ressie they booked it from April 16th on and it should have been from the 15th on. Didn't realize they did that until the confirmation arrived in the mail. Called and nothing in the moderate/value for our first night. They said sorry the person taking the reservation must have misunderstood. :( Does anyone have any suggestions as to where we could stay for the first night at a very reasonable rate that's close to the Disney Resorts?

For just one night, I would use Priceline, or stay at a Disney Value resort.

We ended up arriving a day early last year (we drove) and booked a room for the night at the Holiday Inn Family Suites. Its GREAT if you have kids. We got a 2 bedroom kids suite for about $100. There is transportation to the parks and they have entertainment at night as well (didnt check it out). The pool is nice too.
Check out www.mousesavers.com -they recommend some nice offsite hotel and have some good deals on them as well.

I 2nd the recommendation for Priceline. You will be able to get a 3* hotel for less than $50.
Since you are looking for a place to literally, "lay your head" I would not choose HIFS. It is an excellent hotel, but you will not get the opportunity to enjoy it fully. The kids will not want to leave in the AM to check in at Disney and get started on the parks. In addition, since you are getting in late! you don't want a place that will get the kids pumped up and unwilling to sleep.

I'd recommend the Hyatt right at the airport. It's so nice to just walk off your plan right to your room. 1 could check in & the rest get the luggage.

We stayed there once. It's a lovely hotel & very quiet.

You could then have your car pick you up early in the am, check into WDW & get a full day at the park.
