The day I fly home, my flight is at 10 pm from LAX. This means I will have a non park day in Anaheim. I don't have a car so I am looking for suggestions of places to go with easy public transport. I have only been to the parks so what else does Anaheim have to offer? I am staying at Motel 6 Maingate :)

Downtown Disney is a lot of fun to just meander through in your spare time. You get there the same way you get to the parks since they are separated by Downtown Disney.

The Block at Orange is a nice outdoor shopping mall, with places to eat, a movie theater, etc...I'm sure there is an ART bus that runs from Motel 6 to it!!

Just curious, why not add a day to your hopper and enjoy more park time?

Thanks, I have been to Downtown Disney and will be going there on my first night, last year I just had the morning efore my flight so I just went there. This year I have an entire day so I have time to explore further :)

thanks, thats exactly what I am looking for, I love American malls :) I would love more park time but my budget is just for a 2 day ticket :(

Not far from the parks is the Anaheim Packing District. This is an old citrus warehouse that has been converted into a gourmet food court. There are lots of places to eat, e.g. upscale sandwiches, Indian, sushi, ice cream, gelato pops, etc. There is also an Umami Burger next door in the old Packard showroom and a brewery next to that. You could definitely spend some fun time there enjoying a leisurely lunch and maybe pick up a few snacks to munch on the plane.

Main Place Mall in Santa Ana is nice, and there is a science museum next to it. It's very close to DLR, along highway 5. ART probably goes there.

While not cheap, if I had a whole day, I would do a day trip to Catalina. You could take a bus or taxi to the ferry terminal in Long Beach.

I'm not sure what public transportation to the beaches is like, but that would be my go to stop if I had a free day.
