Looking for Suggestions: Best Standard Room with Partial Savanna View - Animal Kingdom Lodge

Hello. I just booked four nights in a standard room at the Animal Kingdom Lodge in January. We stayed there two years ago and had a partial view on the 4th floor of the Kudu Trail. We were near the pens but still saw a lot of animals. In fact, it wasn't that different from our view at a savanna view room this past spring. We're not going to spend for the better view this time.

Two years ago, we stayed in 4318, and I might consider requesting that area again. The downside was that we were a long way from the lobby and the Mara. I'd love to be a little closer if we can and still get the view.

Suggestions on the best room? I've used the Touring Plans Room Request tool and had great luck both times with getting close to what I requested.

Hi! This past June we stayed in standard room 2544- it's at the end of the Zebra trail, so yes, it's not right near the lobby, but but we had a great view from our balcony!
We saw lots of giraffes ( including the baby giraffe), ankoli cattle, little gazelles and large antelopes ( not sure what exactly they are but that's what they look like!) lots of birds including the big ones. No matter what time of day there were always lots of animals in view- it was a great room!

That may not be a bad spot. We were in a similar area with our Savanna room in March, though closer to the lobby and on the opposite side. A big thing for me is being close to the elevator down to the Mara, and that's why Zebra Trail is better than Kudu.
