My brother is getting married next March and they are going to WDW for their honeymoon. The first day they are going to take it slow and relax but they want a nice dinner. Where do you suggest? They do not want to use park admission for that day and they don't want to spend V&A prices. Thanks!

hhmm......how about artist point at wilderness lodge or jiko at AKL. those are wonderful. i thought about yachtsman steakhouse at the yacht club, but i'm not sure about the quiet part. we were there just a few weeks ago and it was wonderful. any of those would be a great choice!

The Yachtsmen is great get a seating when it first opens. Then go over to the boardwalk area. also Narcoosses is very nice as well.you can watch Wishes from there.

We're going for our 10 year anniversary in November and are having one of our dinner's at California Grill at the Contemporary Resort. We did consider Citrico's at the Grand Floridian.

My vote goes to California Grill- you could even keep the costs down by just ordering some appetizers and drinks without the entree- it was more than enough the last time we were there.

My vote would be for the CG, but I don't know if you can consider it quiet there because it's a prime fireworks viewing spot, but it's definitely romantic. AP and Jiko are a little more quiet... I think Jiko a little more so. And afterwards you can walk outside and use the night vision goggles to look out over the savannah and see the animals... I thought that was pretty cool!

I have to say that if they do choose the CG, it's not really oppressively expensive. We were on the Premium Package, so our meal was prepaid, but the totals on the receipts both times we ate there last week (the second night we cancelled an ADR somewhere else because we enjoyed it so much the first time) were reasonable for the amount of food we got. And if we weren't on the plan, we would never have ordered 2 apps, 2 entrees, and 2 desserts, so I think you could keep it pretty reasonable if you ordered 1 app, 1 dessert, and 2 entrees.

We ate at Cali Grill, Flying Fish, Artist's Point, & Jiko on our last trip - all excellent food-wise, but the ambience at Jiko and AP was lovely - very quiet and romantic with fantastic service. Of the four, I think CG was our least favorite, then again we were sat next to a table with two very restless young children! The food was very nice, but the ambience was a bit chaotic.

For romantic - I pick the CG an hour or so before the MK fireworks. They should be enjoying their dessert when the fireworks go off. But CG won't be quiet so if you want to skip the fireworks, my next vote is Artist Point at the WL, quiet and romantic. Hope they enjoy their honeymoon.

If quiet is important then I would recommend Citricos (very similar to CG but much quieter) or Artist Point. Then menus at these two places are significantly different so they may want to check out the menus before deciding.

But they couldn't go wrong with any of the places than have been mentioned, they are all excellent.

CG isn't even remotely quiet. In fact, it's a total zoo. Artist Point and Jiko are good choices, so long as you book dinner at 9:00 p.m. or later.

We've booked CG for our 25th Anniversary in July and we haven't been there before, although it had been recommended as a "special" place for such an occasion. I'm hoping it's not a zoo as has been suggested although it doesn't have to be intimately romantic as there will be 8 of us including our guests. I suspect it will be just perfect.

I would recommend either Jiko or Narcoosee's for a romantic dinner. Neither are cheap, but they are not V & A prices either. Have them check out the menus to see what appeals to them.

We went to Artist's Point at the Wilderness Lodge on the last night of our honeymoon this past January. It was wonderful, and very romantic! :cloud9:

Unfortunately, that was DS's and DDIL's reaction to the CG when they went there to celebrate their anniversary last month. However, DH and I went to AP the same night to celebrate our 25th, and we had a wonderful, peaceful time. We got a beautiful corner table overlooking the waterfall outside and we got personnalized menus to celebrate our anniversary. I'd highly recommend it.
