Looking for some insight on a Mickey statue.

I signed up today to see if anyone could give me some thoughts on and item my mom has.
She owned a custom baby lamp company for many years, all hand painted and made from plaster and ceramic molds at her company. Disney somehow got in touch with her to have her commission a sculptor to create a Mickey piece that would be given to employees as awards. They asked her to make 200 and that she could make a few to keep for herself. They then had her turn in the molds to them to destroy(so they said). This was in 1990, their is a "© Disney 1990" on the base. It's ceramic and stands about 5" tall. Anyone seen one of these before? Anyone know if there is any value here?

I would recommend going down to the Test board forum and posting until you get to 10. Then you can post a photo. Without a photo it'll be very hard for one to help you identify an item.
