Hello,
I was hoping all you lovely people could help me? I've booked my escape wedding package for June 11th 2008 and I'm so excited!!!!! Finally managed to get the date we wanted. Me and my DF have been together for 6 years and he proposed after 6 months I've been waiting sooooo long to get married I thought it would never happen. But anyway I've got my date! :cool1:
I'm from the UK and will be flying over on 7th June with my family and friends. There's 15 of us in total (struggling already to keep everyone happy!). We're having our ceremony at the WP and reception at GF. I'm having a DP at Epcot Morroco and I'm unsure where to have my sit down meal in between reception and DP. Any suggestions?
I have signed the contract and received my planning kit. Is this the BEO that people talk about on here? My co-ordinator is Amy? Has anyone used her before? I've been going through my checklist and have decided on Rev Randal Miller as our officiant. Has anyone used him before?
I've got in touch with Randy and he says that he is available :cheer2: :woohoo: :thumbsup2 but I'm not sure on how we pay for him? When do you pay deposits and final balances? Did anyone pay for him to return for their Dessert Party and do you include him in the food and beverage? I'm so happy that I booked him as I have heard fantastic feedback from everyone on here, that I knew I wanted to have him as my photographer from the start. :yay: :yay:
I'm also looking at Stan @ stvs to cover the videography. Has anyone got a list of his prices and what package he offers?
Who would you recommend to do my hair? as I'm not sure from the list I have? Do you need to take hair pins or are they provided? What time would you book them as my wedding is at 2.30pm?

I know I have lots of questions but I would appreciate any hints or tips that you may have..

Thanks in advance.

As i'm getting married at home, i don't have advice for you, however, i just wanted to say congratulations! You are getting married while i am there for my honeymoon! (6/9-6/16) and you fly in on the day i get married at home! 6/7/08.

Congratulations, i had a 1.5 year engagement and its killing me, so i can't imagine 5!

Can't wait to hear all about it!:goodvibes

CONGRATULATIONS!!!hopefully i can help answer as many questions as possible...No, this is your initial wedding contract, the BEO is the budget that you get from your wedding planner after you do your planning session. i think they do planning sessions 4-6 months out, they can only guarantee pricing 6 months out. i didn't actually go to florida for my planning session, i did mine over the phone with my wp (marion) and my floral person (laura).i paid randy 1/3 deposit when i booked him, 1/3 at my 3 month mark and i'll pay him the final deposit a week before our wedding. he's great, he custom made a package for us!i'm using starfruit productions, but i think stans website is stvs.com. i think i still have his pricing info, if so i'll pm you with it. i'm using ana with beaute speciale. she's very reasonably priced and does tons of disney weddings. she brings her own hair pins etc, she doesn't provide hair decorations though, like tiara's or fancy combs and such, you have to provide them yourself. HTH!

Congrats, I'm a uk bride as well!!

We are having a cutom wedding as there are 30 of us flying over. We have misty miotto for our photos and then we are still unsure on the video. We have signed our contract and had it back with our annual pass vouchers. OUr save the dates from disney have also gone out to our guests.

I paid misty miotto via paypal but i know stan asks for a credit card number .

Congratulations from another UK bride.

I have Stan's price list. If you still need it PM me your e-mail address and I will send it over to you. I gave Stan my debit card number and he took the deposit straight out of my account.

Sorry I can't help you anymore at the moment I'm still waiting to contact in.

Hi thanks for your replies. I have got in touch with Stan and he has sent me a list with his packages. I'm not sure which one to go for any suggestions? I would like to have pre ceremony coverage of me getting ready with my girls. But I'm so confused about the editing styles. If you've booked Stan which one did you go for? I'm so excited !!!:cloud9: :cool1:

Hi... congrautlations first of all! It seems that most of your questions have been answered, but I'll throw in my 2 cents as well. We are having an Escape wedding as well.

We are paying to have Randy come back to our DP. We originally booked the 7 hour package, but we don't require him for 2 hours during our dinner. He custom built a package that meets our needs. We saved a few hundred dollars in the process. We are having him at our ceremony, pictures afterwards, at the beginning of our dinner (to take photos of the Wishes! fireworks from the California Grill), and then he will come back at 9:00pm for our dessert party. If you're not sure what to do, talk to him and tell him what you need and he will come up with a solution! We also had him take our engagement photos as well.

There are loads of places at Disney resorts and DTD restaurants where you can eat after your wedding. Since you are having a 2:30pm wedding, you won't have to wait too long for 5:00pm to roll around. Most of the restaurants do not have lunch seatings (there are exceptions) and 5:00pm is generally the earliest dinner time. People have had Intimate "reception dinners" at Yachstman Steakhouse, Chef Mickey's, 'Ohana, Narcoossee's, Victoria & Alberts, California Grill, Fulton's, Portobello's, Raglan Road, and there are several I've forgotten I'm sure. There are restaurants at the Swan & Dolphin that I'm sure would be fantastic. We were originally considering having our dinner at the Yachtsman's Steakhouse to keep all of our wedding day events in the Epcot area.

We are using STVS for our videography. We are doing the regular Intimate package with the Classic edit, I suppose. I haven't thought much about our video to be honest! We are having 2 hours of coverage, 1 DVD, and purchasing the raw footage. We went with the least expensive option that includes a DVD. I knew I would regret not having the video someday.

For hair, I'm using Makeover Majic. I've heard good and bad things about all the of Disney recommend hair & makeup people, so I guess you really don't know until you are there. I just have to have the courage to tell whoever it is that I don't like my hair if that is the case! I'm going to have a hair trial with my regular stylist here at home and have photos to show Ana before she starts on my hair.

Summer-Caitlin is a bride who used Rev. Miller for her ceremony. She was very pleased with him from what I understand. Here is a link her her TR: http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=21000615&postcount=315

One last thing... it will be quite a while before you receive your BEO! That is your budget, what you owe Disney. We received our's in September and our wedding is in December. It is still not correct and our money is due in 2 weeks!

Thank you again for your replies...
Been a busy bee today. I watched Summer's video off Stan's website and I think I will stick with Rev Miller if he's available!!! Stil waiting to hear back from him. He came across really friendly and sweet. It's what we're after.
I've booked my hair and makeup with Anna from Makeovermajic too. She seems really nice and is the cheapest I've seen. It's always good to cut the cost here and there. :rotfl:

I've been looking at menu's for the disney resorts and I have such a fussy group of people going they would be happy with just burger and chips. I'm not sure where to go but I know it'll be great anywhere.

Jaxteach if you don't mind me asking how much is Randy charging you to come back for the dessert party or has he included within the customised package?

Does anybody know if you can change the cake that you get? I really don't like buttercream icing and wanted a smooth finish. I have asked Amy my co-ordinator but she hasn't got back to me yet. Also I liked the idea of having almond flavoured cake with the amaretto cream and fresh strawberries yumyum! But this wasn't in my planning kit and I know a few people on here are having it. Does anyone know how much it costs to upgrade to this? Or is it only if you're having a custom wedding?

I really feel that I've got a lot sorted so far but when I read through my list I have so much more to do!!! Never enough time in one day!!

Thanks for your support.

Randy is including it in our package... I believe it is something like $200 per hour for him to come back. Close to that figure anyway. I've not included him in my guest count, but that's an excellent question! I'll have to ask that next week.

Regarding cakes, you can upgrade to a fondant cake. We are having this:

We are being charged $200 to upgrade. We are having chocolate cake w/ peanut butter mousse on the bottom-- no charge. We are having almond cake and amaretto mousse on th bottom-- no charge. I asked my planner last week about adding fresh strawberries to the top. It is $50 to do so, so we haven't decided what to do about that yet.

Thanks for the help. Will have to talk to DF about the upgrade, as he's monitoring how much I'm spending.:sad2: :sad2: Oh well we're only getting married once!!!
