Ok I know this isn't really budget related, but I didn't see a board that this would fit on. I'm looking for fiction books for adults that have to do with wdw or take place there. I've already read all the kingdom keepers and loved them. I'm looking for some grown up books though. I did see down and out in disney but i'm not into science fiction. And the other one I got was dream factory, but even that one I found at the library in the young adults section. Any suggestions?

I'm going to put a hold on them at the libray. They were checked out when I looked last. Even those are in the kids section.

Try a search on Amazon.. Go to the book section and in the space, type in Disney Fiction.. Something may crop up there.. It's worth a try..:goodvibes

Good luck!

Not fiction but "How to be like Walt" is excellent and made me cry. There is another I think its called "Disney Confidential" thats has true stories about WDW.

I've read Cory Doctorow's Down and Out in the Magic Kingdom and I personally loved it. It's a little bit different take on a WDW-related fiction book, with just a little bit of a sci-fi element. It may not quite be your cup of tea, but like magik said, you can read it as a free ebook. At a price of free, you don't have a lot to lose. :)

I liked the Peter and the Starcatchers series by Dave Barry & Ridley Pearson.

While I really like this series, OP, if you're not familiar, be aware that they don't take place in the MK and they're not about the MK. This is the Peter Pan story (it's really good, but it's not quite what you were asking about -- still worth reading!). They are young adult books.

The Irresistible Henry House
While it doesn't take place in Disney, He does get a job as an animator at Walt Disney in California and offers very interesting details about the inner workings.
It was a really great read.

Ridley Pearson also write the Kingdom Keepers books. They are Jr. novels, but I thought they were pretty good.

The Millionaires, by Brad Melzer doesn't take place entirely in Disney but there is a lot of Disney world action in it because the main characters have to track someone down who once worked there. It's a money heist type story.

I read Down and Out in the Magic Kingdom.

It was an amusing read, not sure I would have paid for it, but for free its well worth your time.

Dreamworld by Jane Goldman

It's a murder mystery set at a fictional theme park in Orlando that competes with Disney and Universal.

Does anyone know how to download to a PSP/ I followed the link for the free ebook but the PSP link/format/instructions did not work. I thought one of my disfriends might know...they know everything!

Wow! What a list! I have saved them in my shopping cart at Amazon until I can see what is available at the library then buy the rest.

I have read Down and Out in the Magic Kingdom and really enjoyed it even though I do not usually read that type of book.

:goodvibes Thanks to the OP for asking and all the posters who answered.
