Hi everyone , I am hoping someone still has there room map to HIFS.. I want to request the building by the kids pool that connect to the lobby / food/ entertainment section of the resort .
In looking at the picture of HIFS on their web it looks like one end border the pond/steam the other side is the pool . Thanks for any help .. Michelle

Well when I booked last night with Bill - I told him what building I wanted and he said its really 2 # 6 and #7 .. so hopefully I explained myself correctly and will get where I want ... BUT please if you have your map could you just take a peek and confirm .. Thanks Michelle

For HIFS, I really don't think there's any need to worry about room requests in advance. I'm fairly sure that you can request what you want at check-in and have a decent chance of getting it. When you go to check-in, just ask to see a map and show them the areas you want. The person checking you in will be able to tell you if there's anything available. I know that when we went in 2000, I emailed them at least twice to be sure they had our room requests -- ground floor by the kids pool -- and we got 2nd floor by the adult pool. I didn't bother to request something different because I was exhausted at the time (it wasn't late but we had missed a connecting flight earlier and I wasn't in the mood to argue). It ended up being a much better location... very quiet but close to the lobby. Just restate what you want at check-in and I hope you get what you want!

Some of the rooms (I think near the pools) are more expensive. If you request them in advance you may be requesting a PAID upgrade.

You're probably better off waiting until you checkin.

Last time we were there we had a room on the 5th floor and spent a lot of time waiting for the elevator. Now I know I can use the exercise but after a day at disney who wants to walk up 5 flights, not to mention my 3 year old wanted to be carried. So you might want to mention a ground or 1st floor room when making a request.

Thanks - in 2001 we too waited alot for the elevators - we were on the 4th floor ... Michelle

I can't find my map either, I was just looking yesterday. But last time we were on the 1st floor , by the pool ,actually the first room in the building #708. Great location!
