When we make our much anticipated trip next month one of the places we will be eating at is Trails End.. I havent seen much about the restaurant and just looking for others opinions, what to expect and anything else we might want to know. Thanks in advance

My husband and I went this past Sept. and were scouting out restaurants for our 2010 trip with kids and grandbabies. We really enjoed it. Typical buffet with barBque. Nothing to knock your socks off, but we would certainly do it again. Nice rustic setting and of course enjoyed being at the woildernes campgrounds.

We love Trail's End!! The food is great. The fried chicken is honestly the best I have had anywhere. The ribs, prime rib, cornbread, vegetables, chili, soup are all good. The dessert is typical buffet dessert, but there is some sort of warm cobbler that is very yummy with the soft serve ice cream. DS loves that the drinks come in a mason jar. The CM's are awesome. Some of the sweetest and friendliest we've had. The atmosphere is very relaxed.

DS wants to stay at AKL Savannah View next summer. I told him that we could if we went QSDP and chose only one TS. We've agreed upon Trail's End. It came down to a choice between Chef Mickey's, Coral Reef, and Trail's End!

Think about eating at Trail's End and then heading over to see Chip n' Dale's Campfire Sing A Long and Movie!!!

I've been for both lunch and dinner... it was just blah.

The lunch was really small and simple- salads with lunchmeat sandwiches and a few soups.
Dinner was chicken and ribs and such but it was still the bare essentials- nothing to wow me. I love ribs but found these too fatty to stomach.

The dessert is nothing to write home about. I think there were basic cookies, brownies, and an ice cream bar.

It's cheaper than most other buffets, but you get what you pay for. I probably wouldn't go again.

I've eaten at TR for both breakfast and dinner and both times I thought it was pretty good. Like the pp said, it's not extraordinary but it's decent for the price, and they have quite a bit to pick from. I think it would be a great choice for a family with kids.
