Looking for reviews on Bistro De Paris.

Hi everyone
I was thinking of dining here next month and would love to hear some reviews. It will be 6 adults. I was trying to get Via Napoli or Chefs di France but nothing was available. The women I spoke with mentioned this restaurant. The menu sounded good. Has anyone been recently? How was it?

I've eaten there in the past and always enjoyed it, but my most recent trip was in 2004. I will, however, be eating there next Tuesday (10/18) and can let you know after that how it was.

This is not from personal experience (we have three boys, ages 4-12, so it's not on our rotation right now!) but my parents, aunt and uncle really enjoyed it last year. They asked for recommendations and Bistro was at the top of my list for them, even though I've never been there. They travel quite a bit and are not quick to compliment a restaurant, but they had great things to say about the food and atmosphere at Bistro. They had late ADRs and left well after the park closed - their meal was very leisurely and they weren't the least bit rushed. When they left, they walked through a literally empty park and this experience was one of the highlights of their trip!

This will be the only night that all 6 adults will be together so I wanted something a little special. I also looked on tripadvisor and it got great reviews on there.

Note: We patronize only five TS eateries in all of WDW. Bistro
was one of them. Sadly, one of my favorites has severely gone
downhill badly. We are now skipping Bistro. JUST NOT WORTH IT.
. . . too many kids, as they can order from Chefs kid's menu
. . . the kid noise destroys the atmosphere serenity
. . . unique menu dishes are going away
. . . inferior meni items are substituted (eg. snails changed)
. . . old favorites are being dumbed-down for budget reasons
. . . waiters seem less attentive
. . .service and menu do not justify the price

Artist Point has been regaining its former quality and uniqueness.
It now replaces Bistro on our recommended eatery list.

Bistro de Paris is hands down the best restaurant in WDW!!

We ate there one year ago and returned a couple weeks ago...the menu was very slightly different and definitely not dumbed down.

Every single member of the waitstaff said hello and welcome as we made our way to our seats. Our server, Youseff, was OUTSTANDING. He offered up a Kir Royale, which we took him up on, and proceeded to give us an impeccable evening.

The restaurant was full..and during our 2+ hour meal we did not hear one single child scream or be loud. As a matter of fact, we actually didn't know there was a baby two tables over until we saw the father playing with him. So the whole "too many kids" thing is not always true...this place is not on the dining plan, so I don't think a lot of families visit too often.

We found our old favorites there...lobster, snapper, risotto, etc..and noticed just slight changes in the menu, definitely not anything drastic!

Anyway, we cannot recommend it highly enough..and with two amazing visits one year apart feel that a certain consistency has been established...best in WDW.

We would take the previous poster's recommendations and give them all A's.

It is definitely the best restaurant in any of the Parks. I think it is second only to V&A at WDW.

To sum it up, it was good but not great. I'd rather head out the IG and eat at Flying Fish or bluezoo.

But, if you're really wanting French, Bistro is miles above Chefs.
