My Husband, 2 children and I are flying into Tampa to see family in the second week of April. We will be coming to Orlando that weekend to stay somewhere by Disney. We have never had the chance to stay in a Disney Resort because we always lived only an hour from Disney. We now live in New Orleans but would like the Disney experience. My children are 13 and 11. So we would like to stay somewhere that would be appropriate and fun for them. We need to stay in a budget of no more than $150 a night. Less would be even better. Does anyone have any wonderful suggestions or know of any specials that resorts will be running on April 9 and April 10, 2004?
Thank you so much

I think all the discount codes for that time frame have expired, however you may still be able to get something with a AAA discount. I would call 1-800-828-0228 and see what is available.

Take a look at mousesavers.com, it looks like rack rate for the value resorts is $99 + tax/night, and moderates are $144+tax/night. If there are any AAA rooms available, I'm guessing it will be about a 10% discount off of rack rate pricing. If you can't get your first choice, keep calling back. You never know when people change their reservations and you may get lucky!

Either way, you'll have a great trip!

But Peak season doesn't end until 4/17, so actually rack rate for Value is $109 and Moderate is $169 (plus tax). ~:D~

All Star resorts are great. Your kids would love them. I would pick either Movies or Sports for them unless they are into music. I don't mean Pop, Rock or Rap either I mean like band music. Don't get me wrong it is a nice resort but it seems that more couples stay there rather than kids. But they have nice pools and the food courts have good food and a great selection. I wouldn't worry about them having a great time there. They surely will. And I wouln't spend to much time thinking about a resort just go w/ AS it's the best bang for your buck when your counting your bucks!!!!!! That way you will have some money left over to get your kids a really great souv. Hope this helps! Have a great trip

NicoleMP322,

Not sure if you have AP or AAA so I just checked over on the Disney site...you could get a room at All Star Movies arriving April 9-April 11 for total price of $244.16 which is in your price range that's with no discounts though, but it is Peak Season...If your family that you are visiting are Florida Residents (I would assume they are) they may could get you a room if one of them goes with you at a discount, if any room codes are still available for your dates.

Thank you so much for your help and suggestions. I am still looking into my possibilities. My husband and I both still have our Florida licenses since we just moved from Tampa. SO maybe that will help too.
Again , Thanks so much.

Definitely hang on to those Fla DL to get a discount. Mousesavers.com has a up to date listing. Some suggested resorts would be POR, FW Cabin, AKL or WL. Location wise FW & WL are the best, you just catch a boat to MK. We recently stayed at AKL for $109 per night on a FL Res Discount. You children will love these resorts.
