Preferably with pics.

Trying to decide which to do, if any.

Also, if anyone that has recently eaten at Whispering Canyon Cafe and had the all you can eat platter sees this...what was your desert option?

Last time we went, they had just changed menus. We already were iffy on the skillet to platter change (it was still good, but not something we would necessarily seek out), but the desert really killed this for us as we used to enjoy it and thought it was a fun option.

That jalapeno desert was just gross!

Sorry, that's all I remember about it, lol.

We left totally unsatisfied, but we would consider giving the place another chance if a) we don't choose Trail's End or b) the desert options have changed.

Thanks.

I can offer a recent review of Cape May Cafe Dinner Buffet but no pics sorry. The food was hot and fresh for the most part. The crab legs were to die for so yummy. I got a ceasar salad which was good, cornbread, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese (which for some reason I didn't care for) and some calamari. The calamari was soggy actually which was a bummer. Mostly, I concentrated on those awesome crab legs which they refilled several times I was there. It was only my 2nd time eating crab legs but these were really good. The desserts were good too. I had a pistachio cheesecake that was good and a few of the other choices which I now can't remember even though I was there the end of May but they were pretty good. I didn't leave there feeling like I couldn't move either. I'm def going back!

I went to Cape May in February and thought it was pretty good. Sorry, no pictures here either. My party enjoyed the crab legs, and I thought they had a really good paella and seafood salad (non-mayo based). The 6-year-old enjoyed clam strips. My sister liked it enough to go back again the next day, but I thought once was enough. Then she went again last month, and said the crab legs were really bad. Gray colored and very little meat and what there was of it was poor quality. She eventually mentioned it to the server and the Chef came out to apologize and comped her meal because he said they had received a bad batch that day. So that was nice of them!

As for Trail's End, I believe eandesmom has a trip report going from Christmas time that includes pictures from this buffet. They were very satisfied by it! Here's the link.

I'm not sure if this is recent enough, but hope it helps! ;)
