...EMH in the evening at MGM and Epcot. PLEASE, PLEASE PLEASE, will you take a moment and answer my questions??

  • Doing Fantasmic on late nite at MGM. If you just do the show and leave, are the bus lines shorter than usual since presumably most resort guests are staying in the parks to do rides?
  • If I'm only there from 6:30-8:30pm will I find waits at Test Track, Figment and Honey I shrunk the kids reasonable? We would leave b4 Illuminations (young kids) so I thought going on a late night would give us more time to see those 3 rides than when they usually close at 7pm.

Test Track is ALWAYS busy unless you get there right in the morning. The line doesn't move too quickly either. Everytime I've gone to Figment I've had either little or no wait. Honey I Shrunk the Audience moves pretty quickly because of the massive amounts of people they can fit. Plus, there's a movie beforehand which makes the time go quickly. I've never waited outside the building for that.

Lines are always long for buses right after a show, no matter which park or time-not everyone enjoys EMH (horrifying I know), especially ones with young kids.

Hope this helps. ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo

I was at Epcot for EMH in January. There was no lines anywhere. I walked right on to test track and we got to ride it twice with out getting off. There was nobody in line when our ride was over. I also went to EMH at MGM in february. RNR had a 5 minute wait. ToT had no wait. The longest part of the rides was watching the preshows. We also did Magic Kingdom on a night time EMH in february. I think we were the only 5 people in the park. We rode everything that was open several times.

That's awesome, but that is January and February, the lowest crowd season of the year. I was there in May, which is a moderate time. It's hard to go by low crowds because it happens so seldom. ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo

I also did MGM EMH in January. During Fantasmic, no one was on the rides. In fact, my husband and I were on TOT with only 1 other person it the car.

First of all, thanks for editing my msg so the bullets looked right! :flower:

Second, thanks for the info. Although crowds were low in Jan/Feb, I too worry what they'll be like in Apr/May when we're going. Higher at all times (though not crazy) I would imagine.

LOL, of course we wouldn't be the ONLY ones leaving after Fantasmic.....I just thought w/ EMH it would be less crowded on the busses than a night w/out EMH when everyone HAS to leave at the same time. But I guess what you're saying is the "less" wouldn't be noticable...it would still be a zoo.

Thanks for the input...back to the drawing boards...

I was there the last weekend in January and did both Epcot and MGM EMH.

At MGM, we got to Fantasmic about 25 minutes early (I know- but I was in the hot seat!!) and the place was completely filled, standing room only. CM said it was because of the extra hours. So we walked out and saw zero wait on TOT. Rode it three times, each time with just a few people with us, and were lucky enough to sit in the front row each tim because of the lack of people.

Then we rode RNRC four times before the line got to about 20 minutes. So we left. At 9:35, the wait for the bus was nothing, though I'm not sure what it was like 15 minutes earlier.

At EPCOT, the line for Test Track was ridiculous, so we grabbed a fastpass, and went on Mission Space Twice with no line. Then did TT. I doubt you'll find any line at Figment and HISTA.

Hope this helps.
