ANyone ever had are you a smarter than a 5th grader party theme?

I would love ideas. Especially in decorating and goody bag treats.

Thanks! We are actually sharing a party with another child in the classroom and the girls love this show.

neat idea. I don't know why but I immediately think of a cute toy I had as a kid called a little professor which looked like an owl wearing a graduation cap...maybe something that plays on knowledge or learning rather than a straight translation from the show for the decor?

maybe you can find small trivia games/cards for the goodie bags or small desk tools, cute erasers, fun pens, etc? Apples would play off the "school" idea...again you could be literal or find other apple stuff like sour apple jolly ranchers, or lip balm. small denomination iTunes cards have Apple's on them...

anyway, the people who are good at this stuff will be along soon...please post and share what you came up with :-)

Did you know there's a Disney version of this game? Basically it takes regular questions and gives them a Disney spin. (Ex. The Darling children live in London. What country is London in?)

For decorations, it seems like going to a teacher supply store and looking at bulletin board sets might be easiest. Focus on things with pencils, chalk, and maybe apples.

Buy mini chalkboards and chalk for each child. You can either give these as gifts or, if you get the framed ones, you could allow the kid to paint/decorate them.

After you finish with the school themed decor and no longer need it, surprise your child's school by donating it to a classroom. :-)

If you are crafty, you can make dry erase boards out of a shower board you get from the hardware store. Simply cut into the sizes you want and cover the edges with bright colored tape. Give each kid a dry erase marker and old socks work great for erasers.
Fill the goodie bags with smarties and dum-dums. Dollar tree normally has the huge pencils and erasers for "big mistakes".
You could also do the press on mustaches if the kids are going to ask the questions.
Sounds like a very fun party!
