Looking for other "mature" moms/moms to be...

I had 2nd DS when I was 39. I was only 20 when I had DS #1! OMG!
So much had changed in 18 years since I had had DS #1. Add to that, the fact I was older and considered a high risk pregnancy (having suffered 4 miscarriages after having DS #1)
When I had DS #1 there weren't even ultrasounds available so that was the neatest thing to me, to see DS #2 moving around. So neat to have that picture as his first picture!

I'll be 39 when #3 is born in December or earlier, since my OB thinks I may be mistaken about when I'm due. I'm already bigger than a girl I know who is due 3 months before me.

I had my first at 35 and second at 37. I didn't have the amnio with first but I did with second.They thought there could be problems with DD and I couldn't go through 6 months of worrying so I had the amnio. I'll see what happens at my ultrasound.

Found out that twins can be a by product of "Advance Maternal Age"

which is what DH is hoping for

I had my first at 34 and my second 2 at 36. Yep, that advanced maternal age produced twins! shock of our lives.

Some part of me was a little disappointed I didnt have twins. The run on both sides of my family and with having babies in my old age, lol, I thought I was a good canidate. Well it all turns out for the best. Having a 2 and a 4 yr old (along with my teens) keeps me way busy enough.

Someone in here (sorry, can't remember who) mentioned that at 36 she was still having "baby cravings"... and this just made me go.. " awwww man!!!"... lol..

I am a mommy to 2 DS's.. ages 6 and 4... and having a bit of baby craving myself... But ( oh please don't get insulted or upset when I say this) I felt that I was getting too old... I am... only 24.... ( 25 in July)... And DH says that we're good with the two we have... ( he will be 29).

My BF is preggers with her second, she is 25, and I am just dying.. and I know that when she has him it will be worse... but I say to myself that I will live vicariously through her, and my DN who will be having a baby in Nov..... But lord... if you guys are still having baby cravings in your mid 30's.. I am in big trouble.... I thought I would get over it... LOL

That is the thing.. I am perfectly happy with my 2 Ds's... and I feel as though our family is complete.. I would KILL for a baby girl... lol, but if that is all we were going for, I would end up with a house full of boys.... I *do* feel that we have a great fam. as it is... and the plus side of not having another, is that I will still be a very young chicken when my boys are all grown up.. I will be 38, and my oldest will be 20, and youngest will be 18... and then DH and I will still be young, and able to enjoy things that we never got to do because we had children so early ( I was only 18.. 17 for a month and a half actually.. found out the day after I graduated high school... Gold tassel.. High honor society.... WHOOPS.. lol... was the best whoops I ever did)

Now that my boys are older, I am starting to do things that should have been done before. I start college in the fall, so having another one just doesn't make sense now.... I would love another baby.. But it is just the hormones talking.. LOL. if Women didn't want babies, then where would the world be.. LOL
