Does anyone have a frequent flyer credit card that they recommend? We have had the USAirways card for years and have been extremely happy. Now I try to book flights for Sept and there are NONE available (I even cked 3 different airports!) So now we have all these miles (enough for our 3 tickets) and can't get a flight even near when we want to go. I can get flights with Delta, but will have to buy these. Anyone have a card that accrues miles with ANY airline??? Also what is the annual fee? Thanks.......

Hello ceecee- We use a card from First USA bank for Southwest Airlines. We used it twice this year, 4 tickets free each time, never a problem booking flights. We do book as far in advance as we can so that the flights we want aren't sold out. When we book we tell the agent that we will have free flying coupons, we don't have to have them until our flight, and in the event that we don't get the coupon in time we would have to pay the highest posted price for that flight, but we do have a space reserved.

AMEX allows you to transfer your points to most FF programs. SWA has a few blackout dates BUT IS NOT CAPACITY LIMITED, if there is a seat on the flight you can have it.

Southwest does not fly out of my airport unfortunately....Lewis, do you have a number for AMEX? thanks

The Starwood (Sheraton, Westin, etc) hotel chain AMerican Express is the best...no other card is even close.

You earn 1 point for each dollar charged. They let you transfer these points into airline miles in the airline of YOUR CHOICE at an exchange rate of 1 point = 1 mile. When you transfer 20,000 points, they kick in a free 5,000 points so you will have enough for a free RT ticket with only 20,000 points/miles...this means it takes fewer $ charged to reach your goal.

and www.starwood.com to read up on their reward program.

You can transfer your points into any one of 29 airlines frequent flyer programs, so you should have no problem getting an award ticket.
Or you could even use the points for free hotel stays if you wish.

I haven't got enough points to redeem yet so I can't speak to how easy it is to get flights but Capital One (www.capitalone.com) has MilesOne mastercard that you can you on I believe any (if not any definitely many) airline and the annual fee is only $19.
