my 2 DD's ages 3 and 5. The disneystore.com just doesn't have a wide selection. Any idea's. I checked Target and some online costume places, as well as ebay. Just not finding anything that jumps out at me. I know when the Disney Stores were actual box stores, they had a wider selection to chose from.:confused3

Are you going to WDW soon? The World of Disney has gorgeous deluxe Cinderella dresses - seems like they were about $60 each. You can also order them through Disney mail order. You can probably find pictures of them on one of the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique threads.

I have seen DISers recommend My Dress Up Trunk (I think that is the name, but someone else might chime in) as having dresses that are not itchy and are reasonably priced.

If you are going to WDW soon, I'd wait to buy them there if it fits your budget.

If you can afford it, you should check on the disboutique thread. There are many talented people there who could make a custom dress for your dd.

do you have any skills at sewing? there are some simple patterns out there and I've made my DGD several dresses. Just have to finish the hem in the Cindy dress tonight. I think the cost of this dress is around $28. not counting my time to stitch. If you don't sew, check your local fabric stores to see if there is anyone there locally who has posted to do custom sewing. Another alternative is to check Craigslist for your area. Good luck.

We have several dresses from My Dressup Trunk. They are great dresses, but they're not really full and fluffy. (They do sell fullness slips to wear under the dresses if that's the look you're going for.) They fold up very small which is nice for the luggage and for carrying around park when the girls aren't wearing them. I like them because they are very soft and not itchy at all. Also, the bodices are stretchy so they just slip over the head and can fit a range of body sizes. There are no buttons or velcro or zippers in the back. They are machine washable and hold up really well. (I wash mine on gentle and hang them to dry.) Also, the best thing about them is the price. They are around $20 each, but you can buy a package of dresses and end up getting them a little cheaper. You can order from their website (www.mydressuptrunk.com) or they also sell on ebay. Their ebay store has custom sets where you can mix and match your dresses and sizes. We have been very pleased with these dresses. If you're wanting something, though, with lots of layers and very full and poofy, then these aren't the dresses for you. The dresses sold at WDW are very beautiful, and we've bought two at BBB. But I will have to say that my dd always complains about how itchy they are. She never complains about the comfort of the ones from My Dress Up Trunk. Hope this review is helpful!

I bought the deluxe cinderella dress from the disney store online and other than having to alter it a bit because it was too big - I was very happy with it. I also did not see any other little girls wearing it all week - most were wearing the BBB version which is a silver overlay - no gold. Hope that helps Whip

I just saw one at my local Walmart tonight, in the toy section. It looks really nice, not the cheapo dress-up kind. I think it was $30. They also had a snow white and a sleeping beauty dress as well.

We were just at our local Disney store this evening, and the new designs are really pretty! They are a shorter dress with ribbon flower trim down the front, white tule underskirt with a light blue overlay, and white satin cap sleeves. princess:

When are you leaving?? Because Disney stores dresses come out early on August--I think that last time I was there they had dresses. You can look on Disneystore.com -disneyoutlet.com , if money is not a problem them dresses down there or like the post said have someone make it for you--the people who sew on here can sure do some great things!

I was in Walmart on Saturday and all their Disney Princess dresses were on clearance. I got an Aurora dress for $11. They also had Snow White & Cinderella.
