Wow, I'm glad I found this topic.
My aunt talked with Hartford, her carrier, and they said her annual premiums would almost double from 600 a year to 1100 if she moves to Florida.
Is it true if you move across state lines that a new policy has to be written?? Cause she gets a good driver discount for being with them for so long. But they said once she moved, and a new policy written, it would be like her becoming a new member all over again.
She's probably been driving for over 40 years now, drives a honda accord 2000, and the last incident she's had was sometime in 00 or 01 with a small fender bender.
1100 seems a bit much, as Kari has 2 vehicles listed, one with full coverage, and the other partial. An 01 ranger and a 95 villager cost a little over 1300 a year. She's only 26 with like 8 years or so of driving.
