I'm looking for a good CS place to have lunch in AK. Where's your favorite place to go? ...and what do you order?

Thanks for your help.:wizard:

DH and kids loves Restaurantosaurus.... He loves the double-cheese burgers there because they are so big and juicy... The kids love that they can get a Happy Meal with a dino toy (counts as 1 credit)... The place has tons of seating inside (nice on a hot day) and there is seating outside as well...

We also like Pizzafari... The pizza is pretty good for being processed

We use to always go to the Tusker House. This year, we're definitely going to hit up Flame Tree. I wanna eat those RIBS!!! YUMMY

Flame Tree Barbeque - smoked chicken with beans and corn bread - so hungry just thinking about it - oh and the onion rings!:worship:

We go to Flame Tree Barbecue or Pizzafari when we are there. Alot of times it depends on which side of the park we are on as to where we eat.

We've always eaten lunch at Flame Tree Barbeque, & we did again this past Christmas week. DH said it was not nearly as good as it has been in the past, so we won't be returning soon.

Later that week (it was on Christmas Eve) we tried counter-service for lunch at Yak & Yeti & really enjoyed it!! I can't remember what we had though, sorry. We liked it so much, that we've made a dinner ADR there for this summer.

We ate at the CS Yak and Yeti on our trip a few weeks ago and it was delicious! I"m a very picky eater and when DFi wanted to get something from there, I first though maybe I'd go somewhere else and get a burger. But he got something that he though I would like, the crispy honey chicken and it was sooo good! There was a lot of food and one meal was enough for the two of us. Along with the chicken, there were a few veggies and rice on the bottom. YUM!!

We ate at Restaurantosaurus for breakfast (one of my favorites) October 2007. The hostess mentioned to me that they were closing or moving this restaurant at the end of the month. Does anyone have any info on this restaurant? Is it still open and if so where is it?

We always eat Pizza at Pizzafari because
they have vegetarian options.
Flame Tree is all meat.
I also love all of the bright colored murals.
We always eat on the back veranda
(we are usually the only ones out there)

We like Pizzafari, the italian sandwich is good as well as the breadsticks. My son likes the cheese pizza.

We use to go to Flame Tree but now Yak and Yeti is our CS go too. We had a great lunch there in Dec. Dh got the kung pao beef and I got the mandarin chicken salad. Both were really good and had good flavors.

:thumbsup2 I've heard nothing but great reviews for Flame Tree BBQ. We plan to eat lunch there during our upcoming WDW trip.

Don't want to be the bearer of bad news but we had a horrible experience when we ate there back in October. Not only did it take a 1/2 hr to get our food and another 10 minutes to find a table but dd's hot dog was ice cold (maybe cause it took so long to find a table?) but it didn't even seem cooked!:scared1:

My turkey sandwich was anything but even close to fresh. The roll was rock hard. The onion rings were the only decent thing we had. This is a very unusual experience for us especially at WDW! I am usually one to say something if I feel our meal is not up to par, but that would have easily taken another 1/2 hr to get near the counter. Quite frankly, not only would I never eat here again but I'd not recommend it to anyone.

At the time there were so few restaurants to choose from as they were working on the new Tusker House format (boy, we're we ever said to see the end of the their CS which was one of the best CS restaurants in all of dd) & Y&Y...but the only other CS at the time was Pizzarari or Restaurantsorous/McDonalds in the entire place. Maybe they were so swamped because of that they couldn't handle the amount of orders they were getting although park mgmt. should have been prepared for it considering it was one of the only dining options.

Flame me if you want, but it was our first and last time we'll ever eat at FTB!:sad2:

:sad2: Sorry to hear about your terrible meal at FTB. Now that we know the Yak & Yeti counter is open, we may try that instead. Nine Dragons in Epcot has a yummy honey chicken. I wonder if the Y&Y's is the same.

:thumbsup2 Tusker House now hosts the character meal/buffet at AK.

We ate at Pizzafari when we were there May of 2007. It was ok. Nothing to brag about. This summer we plan to eat at Flame Tree. I wanted to try it our last visit, but I think it was quite crowded when we decided to go and changed our mind.

My family loved Restaurantosaurus also... It was a tradition to go there every visit to the AK...

As pp stated, the breakfast is now at Tusker House... Characters are now Donald, Daisy, Goofy, and Mickey (no more Pluto)... They are dressed in their safari best... The buffet area is much bigger now with more yummy choices... The food is very good... The atmosphere is fun with the African theme (no more dinos)... The dining areas are smaller, very loud, and tables are very close together... They make you take your photo now on the way in (you kind of had a choice before)...

Some changes were for the better and some were not... Food is terrific, service is still great, love the characters (although we really do miss Pluto), BUT it is too packed with people and much too loud...

We plan to go back again!
