This is the steak that we had when there in September.

I must say that we were not impressed with Le Cellier and for us, that are many other places that we enjoy, so we probably won't be going back there.

However there was really nothing wrong with the steak that we had.

Hope you have a great trip, a Happy Birthday, and a tasty meal!!!:wizard:

If you go to this link about 3/4 of the way down the page, you will see pictures of the filet we had and the New York Strip Steak and the Prime Rib on our visit in September:

We go every year and would not skip it ever--a must do for us. It is definitely our favorite Disney restaurant.

Le Cellier was the BEST steak I have ever eaten. It was so tender I could cut it with my fork.
mmmmmmmmmm

Our experience at Le Cellier was great. The waitstaff were great and even made a dream come true! The steak was terrific. We gave the chef carte blanche to cook it as he/she saw fit as we can handle even blue-rare steak. It came out done to perfection and was so melt-y. When I polled DH about what restaurants to include on this trip and which ones to skip, he could only remember this one by memory.

And a note on our dream: We had become separated in the day (my dp from the rest of the group) and our itinerary took a hit as we waited to be reunited for over 2 hours. We were late for our lunch reservation at Teppan Edo (where the waitstaff were awesome - the manager was not - and we were seated over two hours late - dp had been waiting there the whole time while we were across the lagoon at the beginning of World Showcase - eventually our messages were connected at Guest Services and we were reunited, anyhow...)

We saw a bit more of the pavilions and we were accidentally late for our Le Cellier reservations. The guy at the podium was kinda snotty and said we were out of luck. I asked if he could check once more and he called back into the restaurant on his headset and the look on his face was priceless when he was told that a party of 6 at 645pm could be seated as a walk-up. I think he was a bit disappointed to eat his words and incredulous at the same time. Anyways, we took our deflated-by-the-day's-events-selves into the restaurant and we seated at a nice table with a chatty Canadian gal (like me!). She asked about our day and boy I poured out our sad story, and told her that because of everything our FP window had passed without us riding and surely the ride would be closed when we finished dinner (7pm Future World closing - didn't realize at the time sometimes some rides stay open a bit longer, but still) so on top of the whole messy day we wouldn't get to ride Soarin'! Next thing I know she came out with paper fastpasses for any one Epcot ride to use on a future visit! I totally wasn't expecting that! I didn't even know those passes even existed. So a bad day was turned great by being seated at Le Cellier past our time, AND fastpasses for Soarin'! Magic!
