We are going to US/IOA for a few days in February. Little did I know those days would include Fat Tuesday and Ash Wednesday. I've checked the website at US but there doesn't seem to be anything official announced. Any idea if there will be a parade any of those days?

Based on past events, the parade is any night they have a concert which is usually Friday-Sunday nights. Unless they change something this year, I doubt there will be parades on Tuesday or Wednesday nights. We'll know more once the official information is available.

There hasn't been a Mardi Gras parade on Mardi Gras itself since 2001 or 2002. Pat O'Briens usually has a party (21+ up, it is a bar), but otherwise, you wouldn't know the day was any different, other than a large percentage of New Orleans residents in town.

Thanks, this should allow me to keep the dining reservations I have and not bother making any modifications.

Is there a 2012 concert schedule anywhere yet? All I can find is Kelly Clarkson is kicking it off the first week. Anyone? :)

To me it would be alot easier if UNI would post the Mardi Gras concerts earlier that way we can plan a visit to see our fav.!!!:confused3

Thanks!

and Donald, I agree. I wish they would set that schedule sooner so I can make solid plans especially since I have to fly there. I am hoping there will be someone I want to see on the weekend of March 17th. :thumbsup2

That's true but when you're dealing with artists, managers and attorneys things are slowed down. They have always posted the schedule early enough to make plans and I doubt this year will be any different.
