We're leaving in 1 1/2 weeks for the WL! We opted to share a room with my brother and his wife. Now, I think we're regretting that...there will be 4 adults and my 1 year old with us! We'll have an adjoining room with my mom and stepfather....are we crazy? I just checked to see if there were any suites available...but no such luck! I think we should've thought it through more and gone with a suite! I'm concerned DD won't sleep well with all of us in the room! ARGH! :) :) Are the rooms small? What are the chances of a last minute cancellation and possibly switching over to a suite? Thanks so much for any suggestions! :) :earsgirl:

We stayed at WL last October, there were three of us, two adults and one child. It was certainly comfortable enough for the three of us, but I know for sure that I would not want to share it with another adult couple, especially with a one year old. If money is an issue, I would rather stay at Pop Century and get two rooms. But then, a comfortable, private, room is essential for me to enjoy my vacation. You don't say how long your stay will be, that could make a difference on whether it is doable for you or not.

You can make changes at the last minute. I'm not sure on the policy for cancellations.

Have fun!

The rooms at the WL are a good size and you will have a balcony but that sounds like a lot of people with a baby. She? ( or he?) may keep the adults awake too! I would call and see what you could do. Maybe even add another standard room or switch to the moderates. They like deluxes at other hotels.
How long is your stay?
Good luck!

I love Wilderness Lodge. But the suite options there are not all that great. With the number of people you have your best option is a Deluxe Room that sleeps 6. You are gaining a sitting area with a pull out sofa.

You might want to consider a two bedroom villa at VWL. You have one bedroom with a king size bed, another bedroom with two queens and a pull out sofa in the living room.

This close in there may be cancellations and such with the villa but I doubt with a suite.

We'll be there for 4 nights. Money WAS an issue when we first booked, but it's not now. I'll call WDW and see what they say! :) :) Thanks for all your help! I think it might help with my mom in the adjoining room...we can hang out there while dd falls asleep!

Even though the rooms at WL are very small and 4 adults will be cramped - if you are have an adjoining room and leave the door open and can use the other bathroom, it might not be THAT bad. Guess it just depends on how comfy all of you are together. The only way it'll work is a lot of togetherness! Frankly I don't even know where you'd set up a crib in those rooms! We barely had room for suitcases for 4 people (2 moms, 2 teen girls). Could you and the baby sleep in the room with Mom and Stepfather?

That is only if they have connecting rooms, adjoining rooms are simply *near* each other (I think they are usually next door but I think I have read here that Disney has called rooms "adjoining" when they are across the hall from each other too).

OP, did you ask for connecting rooms? Not sure if it matters to you or not. Just wanted to point it out, in case it did.

Also, I personally would lose my mind with that many people in a room! I treasure my personal space myself. WL rooms are not very large, IMO. Last December, my family of 4 stayed at AKL - same size and config as WL - and I felt squeezed. They brought a pack and play for the baby but I thought it took up too much space and he ended up sleeping with me while older DS slept with DH. We're staying at AKL again this December and will just plan on that sleeping arrangement from the beginning.

That said, I think you can work it out if you want. Have a wonderful trip.
