Looking for info. on daily lady bug release at Epcot during Flower/Garden Festival

Oh we did this last year. We just happened upon it. It was right behind the test track "car wash". I can't remember exactly what time it was but I want to say mid to late morning.

Sorry I don't remember more.

We just kinda happened upon it last year as well, but I want to say that it was around 2pm. Hopefully someone else will be able to give you a more concrete answer!!

barrett7890........ thanks. is this something our kids would enjoy? they are twins that are 2 and a 6 year old.

Last year the Butterfly release was at 11 am, outside of Mousegears (towards Test Track).

Ladybug releases were at 12:30 and 2:30, somewhere in world showcase. We did not see then.

The butterflies are a little sluggish in the morning, so I do not know if this will change this year.

Looking forward to the F&G show and to hear the live (just returned) reports.

Wow! I didn't know about any of this stuff and we'll be there for it. Is there a schedule that can be picked up at Epcot when we get there?

The lady bug release is a great activity for kids. You get a little box of lady bugs (think match box) and are able to release them once they've sprayed the plants with the water. They spray them so that the lady bugs will immediately go to the plants to drink up. Very fun!!

And yes, rtd2z, you can pick up brochures with daily info at each park that will specify times and places for all special events.

The schedule should be out today, since the F&G starts today.

Can't wait to hear what other Diser's say about this year's festival.

Is there any information online about this? This is the first I've heard of it! We'll be going May 24th and I know my DD(5) would LOVE to do this!

AFAIK, there is no butterfly release this year, the butterflies are flying free in Minnie's Butterfly Garden (a screen house) near MouseGears.

Ladybug release is done at 1 and 3 p.m., in the Waterfull World garden, which is in World Showcase between the Outpost and Germany.

Two "characters" (Deb has the picture here http://allearsnet.com/tp/ep/fg05/fg05_19.jpg) arrive in a golf cart to speak a bit about ladybugs and lead the release program. You are still given a matchbox size box of ladybugs to release. My kids loved it. There are a few other activities the kids can do in the WaterFull garden while they wait for program time.
