I am looking for any info on the Celebrity Resorts Lake Buena Vista on Palm Parkway. It looks nice from the pictures I am seeing, but I don't think I have heard of it.

Thanks!

Hi...very nice area, but I am not familiar with this property...it probably was another name in a past life...lots of hotels in the Disney area have a habit of changing signs and names every few years.

Here is a link to trip advisor...looks like several really good reviews and one really nasty, but that was over a year ago...

sorry I don't have more info...but again Lake Buena Vista is a great area just across from far east entrance to Disney that brings you in at Downtown Disney.

Good Luck...Ted

Thanks Ted--I had read those too and they are helpful.

Anyone know of any other trip reports/hotel ratings sites that are reputable?

Here is a portion of the review I wrote about the Celebrity Resorts for another site:

As owners at Celebrity Resorts Lake Buena Vista for the past 5 years, we were thrilled to see our newly remodeled unit upon arrival on Feb 18, 2006. We own a lock-out unit and since family is always traveling with us, we use the entire unit to have the three bedrooms (sleeps 8-10) available. Our "new" kitchen has some new appliances, marble type counter tops, and all the necessary silverware, dishes, glassware, pans etc.. if you choose to cook your own meals. There is also a dishwasher, microwave, large frig and stove, all the conveniences you could need. Along-side the kitchen are the washer/dryer. A
newly designed dining/living room is spacious. Internet connections are available for a small fee.

Tasteful, comfortable furnishings, new drapes, a media center and totally new wallcoverings and rugs added to the fine new look. We were impressed!

Not only the inside but the outside of the resort was redecorated with bright colors. They were in the process of completing the new clubhouse update, so we were not able to access any part of it. It should be finished by now. The pool area is smaller, quiet and very comfortable, and the water is heated.
There is also a jacuzzi adjacent to the pool. There is a small barbecue area, children's playground and tennis courts. Everything is always neat in appearance. Once the clubhouse is re-opened, there may be more offerings but amenities are few. Why would you need them being so close to WDW?

Location is everything! You are within minutes of shopping ( 2 min), restaurants (1 + min), Downtown Disney (5min), Universal (15 min) and so much more.

The staff have always been courteous, prompt with any needs and friendly. Check-in has never been any problem. We would recommend the resort to everyone.

If, however, you are looking for numerous amenities, the resort does not presently offer many. It may be that Celebrity Resorts will have more in the near future, as they have only owned the property for less than two years.

Hope this might help you and others. :thumbsup2

From one owner to another, excellent write up, I agree with everything you have said. We saw our 3 bedroom unit for the first time this March as we only bought last year. We are very happy with Celebrity Resort Lake Buena Vista.

Good to hear. If I do indeed decide to go on this last minute trip, I will be staying at Celebrity and will let you all know what I think when we return.
