We will be at DLR 2-28-05 thru 3-5-05! Maybe we will be there at the same time. We are driving, so I don't know about cheap airfare, but I got the HoJo Anaheim for $49.00/nite with the entertainment rate! That can't be beat....and I checked EVERYWHERE!! Maybe you could get the same deal! We got my DS20 a 5 day hopper thru ARES Travel (mousesavers has the link), for a 5 day hopper, it was $131.00 plus $5.75 for shipping. That is cheaper than thru Disney. The rest of the family has AP's, so we only needed one ticket, the lady I spoke with on the phone was very nice and quite helpful! Hope you get some deals and have a great trip! pirate:

I remember you from the WDW boards when I was planning my trip last year. Sorry you still haven't found your Disney Princess. Maybe we should start a matchmaking board: "Single Disney Male seeks Single Disney Female for romantic stroll down Main Street". Too bad we won't be there when you are (going in August) or I would introduce you to my daughter, I guess you could call her "Jungle Lisa" because she plans to spend her life working with tigers.

Good luck planning your trip, sorry I don't have any tips but I am sure you will get lots of good advice.

Thanks fo rthe kind words karylrocks. Yes, unfortunatly I haven't quite found that Disney Princess....although your match making board idea is quite clever!

I hope to find some good info, I would love to make a return trip to DL this spring break.

Well thanks again! and send my best wishes to "Jungle Lisa" :teeth:

Probably some of this stuff is common sense...

Make sure that you eat lunch--not dinner--at the expensive restaurants, because lunch menus are usually less expensive than dinner menus.

Rancho del Zocalo in Frontierland has big portions, for a relatively small price, and you can order a la cart even though it's not listed on the menu.

A lot of people eat a large breakfast off-site, and try to avoid eating in the park during the day. Also, if your hotel offers a free continental breakfast, it might save you some money on food.

Good neighbor hotels should offer tickets for less than the gate price. (And there are a fair number of off-site hotels which are actually a shorter walk to the gate than the Disney resort hotels.) There are quite a few hotels recommended on this board which are cheap, but nice hotels. I've heard good things about HoJo Anaheim, and I've stayed at the Ramada Maingate for fairly inexpensive and they were a good hotel, also.

One thing that my family does--keep in mind that my family refuses to leave the parks to eat off-site--is to plan out what restaurants we will eat what meal at. That way, we know in advance what is in the budget, and we don't have to walk around looking at menus. We use a park guidebook to see how expensive the restaurants are, but I've also found menus on-line.

The tortilla factory in DCA has free tortillas, which are warm from being baked right there. They're a GREAT light snack. There's another tour there that offers free food, but I can't remember it because we kept going back for free tortillas.

Okay, looking back, this is probably nowhere near what you're trying to find out, but just in case, here it is.

Hi J.J. -- Looks like we will just miss you as well. Our trip is scheduled for early April.

What airports are available for you to fly out of? When checking airfare, make sure you look at flights into Los Angeles, Orange County, Long Beach, Burbank, and Ontario. All five are an easy drive to Anaheim.

With your trip so close, your best bet for a hotel might be to use Priceline or Hotwire. Just make sure you do some research at www.betterbidding.com or www.biddingfortravel.com . Also, there are many Holiday Inns in the area and they sometimes have websaver rates on their website.

Hope you can make it work as I know you'll have a great time at Disneyland!

I have found through experience the way to find the cheapest airfare is to first check out Orbitz, expedia etc then whichever airline has the cheapest fare, go to their website and you will often find it about 10 dollars cheaper.

 Hi :)
I have no tips, but am interested in how your solo vacation goes for you. I see you will also be going to the Polynesian in about 150 days. What a lucky person you are!
I will be going solo myself in May to Disneyland. The flight I booked out of Billings is with Delta and I just went through their website. I found that it was just a little cheaper than even the travel sites were offering. (It may come down even more, but I did not want to take any chances).
Have a Magical Vacation :goodvibes
