Well I am in the middle of planning "Mancation 2007" . This is the 2nd annual, a follow up to the wildly popular "Mancation 2006" that took place this past April. I need restaurant ideas for 12 Rowdy, drinking, LOUD men and I capitolized Loud for a reason :rotfl2: that have a kitchen pass away from the wives and children for 4 nights. I still can't believe we are getting away with this 2 years in a row :woohoo: . MC06 we had 8 people, that was easy. But now with 12 we'll need a bit more planning for MC07. We will be golfing in the afternoon each day, so we'll need something in the later evenings. Mitsukoshi will be closed for Refurb, so thats out.

Let me know your thoughts. Thanks very much, :thumbsup2

Wow - If I could send my beloved husband with you on your mancation, that would give me a *momcation*!
What about the German Biergarden? That is definitely a loud place, and they do have good beer there! :drinking1

I was part of Mancation 2006 and let's just say it was a blast!!!!

Mancation 2007 should be even more memorable. You go Mr. Robb. Your the Disney Expert.

How about Raglan Road at DTD? Between the Irish pub fare, Celtic music, and flowing Guinness, I can't think of a better option!

I second Biergarten. Have you seen the size of the beers there!!!!! DH is in heaven :drinking1 My DH wants to know if he can have a "Mancation" too!

Thanks for all the GREAT ideas. We are booked for the first night at Ohana followed by entertainment and LOTS of beer at Raglan Road.

Keep the ideas coming..

Just to clarify, you are golfing every day, so not planning on going into the parks, right? That leaves out Biergarten.

I have another vote for Raglan Road, especially later in the evening when the band is there. ESPN on the Boardwalk is also a mancation-type of place.

If you are going into the park, then I think Biergarten is perfect - huge beers, buffet so hungry guys can get their fill, and an oompah band - what more do a bunch of golfers need???

Hey Sean! :wave2:

Wow..."Mancation" huh? Brilliant, I must say!! :lmao:

How about Marrakesh in Epcot? Excellent food, and they have a nice little "show" featuring a belly dancer. lol Although, the atmosphere was quite sedate during our lunch there, so I'm not sure how your loudness would factor in :teeth:

Have a great trip!!!! :sunny:

P.S. Yup, we're missing each other again next year; we'll be in WDW/Disney cruise in February this time!

LOL! I work at Ohana. Wanna sit in my section? You guys sound like you'd be great fun to wait on. Just need to keep the beer and beef coming right?

Mancation 2007. It's going to be a blast. Ohana sounds like the perfect place for our first dinner. Beer and food that's all we need.

Ok going to watch this thread VERY carefully and adjust my ADRs accordingly.
:rotfl2:
Traveling with a DD same week. She will be 14 and I'm thinking maybe her entire outlook on the male species could be severly affected by witnessing the eating & drinking habits of Mancationers!!
:scared1: :drinking1 :scared: pirate:

GoodoldPal - No worries. Almost 70% percent of the guys going on Mancation 2007 are Dad's so we'll be good, we promise. It's the other 30% we have to worry about. We'll get a little crazy though. :)

We will also hit the parks in the evening. Three of us are Imagineers from CA. so that part of our trip is taken care of. Thanks for the idea. I am leaning towards Biergarten and Marakesh.

Terri,

We already have a few votes for Marakesh, so I think we will for sure end up there one evening.
Sorry we are going to miss you again? Any chance you'll be back in the summer? The family and I will be at the Poly with Tikiman and family at the end of July.

I think BuffaloGal will quit after dealing with us!!! I think the Dads are the worst part of the bunch but than again I have not met everyone yet. Just don’t let me get up and try and play the ukulele because than I have to put on my grass skirt and coconut bra.

Well if we don’t scare everyone away from ‘Ohana in May I think Tikifest is going to have them running. Looks like about 150 people and we aren’t even into 2007 yet. The Polynesian will need another rehab after next year!!!

Did someone say belly dancers?????????

LOL!!! :rotfl:

Hi Steve!! I've been reading about TikiFest and. not sure if I'll be able to or not, but I would *love* to be able to fit a quick weekend trip into our summer plans to coincide with this!!

The last I read, the Polynesian meet was going to be on a Sunday evening. Has this changed at all? Is there a web page with all of the info for this?? Thanks! :sunny:
