Hi,
We are going to be in the World from Dec 17- Dec 24. I want to make a wreath to hang on the door while we are there. Anybody have any really creative ideas? This is only our second trip to the World and the first time at Christmas. My DD, almost 3 loves the princesses and DS, 8, loves Donald and Mickey. Any ideas? Also do you know where I can find miniature sets of Disney ornaments. I want to take a small tree to decorate, and want to do it all in Disney.

Thanks in advance for all your ideas.
Jennifer

you can make something similiar to that picture by take one larger silk wreath and attaching two smaller ones for ears and then adding balls around and a bow at bottom, i have done this, very simple.

Oh, I bought that light-up Mickey wreath and liked it so much I just yesterday ordered another! It looks really good lit up or not.

I was trying to figure how to make a wreath, but gave up when I decided at lime green Mickey head with a Santa hat would be less weight and easier to transport, not to mention easier and less expensive to make...so that is what will be hanging from our door and from the sliding glass door at the resort.

It's definitely possible to make a wreath like the one in that picture. I made a couple of round ones similar to that. My only advice if you do that is to be sure you use floral wire to secure them to the frame, if you use hot glue they wont hold and eventually you'll have little glass balls falling all over your house breaking, it's not pretty. LOL

I just bought cheap small and medium size colored balls from the dollar store to make the wreath.

I love the mickey wreath on the Disney Shopping website. However, I decided not to spend the extra money.

Here's what I'm doing. I bought 2 artificial wreaths at the craft store (less than $2 each). I'm going to cut one in half and make 2 ears with it and attach them to the other wreath with wire.

I have a nice plaid christmas bow (greens, reds and gold) that I will attach to the bottom. I will decorate the wreath with some clear lights and other decorations (haven't decided what). I had thought about some pine cones (if I can find some around the house) and some apple ornaments that I have.

I didn't want to spend a lot of money because we will be taking this to Disney and I didn't want to worry about it getting broke during the trip.
