Looking for Hershey Park info...Please

Dutch Wonderland is a great park for little ones, we go with our niece and nephew (3 & 5), they love it! They have a fun water park section too, so take along swimsuits.
Their website is http://www.dutchwonderland.com.

If you like outlet shopping, there are two good outlets right up the road, Tanger Outlets & Rockvale Square Outlet.

Hope you have fun! :thumbsup2

My search function isn't working. So I apologize if this has been asked before  .

We are headed to Hershey in July. I have already made our hotel arrangements. The plan is to go to Gettysburg on Sunday. Hershey Park on Monday. Hershey Chocolate World on Tuesday and head to the Great Wolf Lodge in the Poconos on Wednesday.

Anything I shouldn't miss in Hershey? We will be two families: 4 adults, 6 kids (all boys ages 8,8,7,7,3,1). Any great restaurants we should make ressies for or any other area tips?

Thanks so much for all the help.

Amie

Hey, I basically live about 20 minutes from Hershey. There is the BEST restaurant about 5 minutes from Hershey Park. It's called Hershey Pantry (click on link).

In Hershey Park, you must hit these rides! :

Storm Runner
The Comet
Lightning Racer
Flying Falcon
The Whip
Coal Cracker
Tidal Wave

Hope that helps :)

clarabelle is correct about getting soaked on the water rides. We usually wear our suits in with shorts on (ladies) and carry our clothes in a duffel and do the water rides first. They have reasonably priced lockers to stow the clothes and shorts in.

If you're interested in a fine dining experience, check out the menus at the Hotel Hershey on this web page http://www.hersheypa.com/dining/cdr.html I've only eaten there once but it was amazing.

In July, I'm taking my kids (7 and 3) to PA; we were going to Dutch Wonderland and the train station - I haven't heard of Knoebels!

Knoebels...FREE parking...FREE admission....good food priced right....friendly employees who seem to really enjoy working there.

I remember reading a coaster enthusiast' trip report which stated "Disney may make 'magic', but Knoebels IS 'magic'."

You can definitely do Chocolate World in 1.5 hours. I don't remember what ages the OP said their kids are. Dutch Wonderland is a wonderful little kids park but I don't think a child over 7 (especially if they have been to WDW and have experienced some thrill rides) would enjoy it as much. There is a great tour of some caverns in the area. The place is called Indian Echo Caverns. My husband and I visited there and enjoyed ourselves immensely. They have an outdoor playground, beautiful surroundings, a good price for the tour and you can buy a bag of "gems" to pan in their homemade stream. You could easily turn a trip to the caverns into a 4 or 5 hour day. The railroad is also a wonderful day but make sure you check to see if Thomas the Train will be in town when you visit. It's great to see him (and expensive) but if you have no interest in him, the rest of the railroad area is a madhouse for the week to ten days that he is there. Let me know if anyone has any other questions. We have visited there on many occasions for overnight weekend trips over the past few years.
