We will be in Anaheim following a Rivera cruise on November 31 (thursday), Dec. 1 (friday) and 2nd (Sat.)...

My parents want to do Knotts on one day and Disney one day. They have never seen California Adventure. They are taking one day to visit family in the area and taking my 3 year old daughter with them for that.

My DH and 5 year old DS and I will be hitting the parks all three days.

Which day do you suggest we do Knotts??? Right now I'm leaning toward Sat. since that will be the most crowded Disney day and maybe hitting the fireworks or something that night since Knotts will be done early to mid afternoon.

It's hard to know what time we could get to the parks on Thursday since we have to disembark (could be anytime between 8 and 10) and then check in at the hotel before heading out. Maybe that would be a better day for Knotts?

You didn't say what kind of tickets you will have - will you have the ability to parkhop for 3 days? If you have three days, then I'd recommend going to Knott's on Saturday (it will be less crowded than DL!) and returning to DL in the evening if you want to.

If you only have two days of admission at DL, then you might want to go to Knott's on Thursday...but be aware that Thursday is probably going to be your least crowded opportunity to visit DL, even though you won't get a full day there.

Another option if you have only two days at DL would be to do Knott's on Thursday, then DL on Friday, and on Saturday start off at DL, but then hop over to DCA when DL starts to get crowded, then hop back over to DL later if you want to.

It does not matter. All 2+ day tickets are parkhoppers. And even if you get 2 day tix, you have 14 days over which to fit in the 2 days. Bottom line is that the tickets you get should have no bearing on which days you do DL vs Knott's.

With that said, I would do Thu/Fri at DL and Sat at Knott's for reasons similar to Scooter's.And I would buy the tickets ahead of time so you will not need to wait in line to get them that morning and they will probably be cheaper that way too.
