Looking for harpest to play at wedding

My future bride wants a harpest to play at the wedding but doesnt want to pay disney the cost they are asking. So my question is where would i find someone or a place that could provide us with the music my beautiful bride wants at our wedding?

You might check with a local college with a music department there in the Disney area. When I was a music major, we had lots of people who wanted to hire various types of musicians for their weddings. I was part of a string quartet and played several weddings while in college!

That's a very good idea about the college! I would also check with DFTW because they do charge you to bring in outside vendors. I would find out what they are going to charge you before booking somone else to do it.

i checked with some outside vendors but there quotes were just as much as disneys harpist in the $300-$400 range. we had a harpist & violinist at our ceremony provided by disney. the musicians carried over to the prereception too & they did a great job. we had chosen tons of personalized music for our ceremony & my walk down the aisle was priceless to their sweeping music.

I am having a bagpipe player at my wedding and we're using "The Entertainment Company" out of Orland. I know they do have a harpist but I'm not sure if they're free...give them a try!

I don't know what Disney is charging you, but DW and I paid 400.00 and she only played for about 40 minutes. DW dreamed of a harpist playing at her wedding ever since she was a little girl. After I heard that, I figured 400.00 was a small amount to pay for the love of my life.

You could probably google someone. I would definately see what the charge would be to bring in the outside vendor. I am not sure what they would charge for music.
