Looking for good hotel off I95 in NC

We are looking for a nice safe hotel just off on I 95 in North Carolina.

Looking for Benson, Dunn, Fayetteville Area off of I95.

Any suggestions?

I know you didn't ask about Lumberton, but ... we have stayed several times in a very nice Country Inn & Suites in Lumberton - clean, friendly, complimentary continental type breakfast, etc. We tried the Hampton Inn there once, but it was not originally a Hampton Inn. We did not like it - outside access rather than hallway access to the room & an assortment of other reasons.

1) I would forget about Benson. There is nowhere I would recommend there. If you want to be near Benson, stick w/ Smithfield instead. Go w. the Sleep Inn or the Jameson Inn. Both are near the Outlet Mall.

2) In Dunn, check out the Comfort Inn. Book thry choicehotels.com using the internet users rate for the best rate.

3) in Fayetteville, there is a Best Western off Exit 49 that's OK. There is also a hotel right next to the Cracker Barrel that looks OK but I cannot remember the name of it. You might be able to find out what it is on Orbitz or another website. I'm thinking it is either a Howard Johnson or Hampton Inn. The Holiday inn used to be nice years ago. i sued to go to the nightclub there way back in the day (mid to late '80s - LOL!). I have no idea what it's like now, though.

4) there are a very few decent places in Lumberton (I grew up there). At exit 22, Quality Suites, Holiday Inn. At Exit 20, Country Inn & Suites, Quality Inn, Fairfield Inn (on the service road near the Cracker Barrel). I would avoid all other hotels!

Well thanks for posting this it reminded me that I didn't make my reservations for the trip down-and we leave Friday!! I had a little trouble finding a place but we'll have to drive a little further that first night than I had planned. Oh well closer to Disney for day 2!!
