We will be staying at POR at the end of November. I'm looking for a good place to make an ADR in DTD, since we'll be so close. We do already have one for Raglan Road, but is there something else you all would recommend? Not looking for signature, but would like TS and kid friendly.

Wolfgang Puck Cafe would be my first choice. Are you tied to dining plan credits? Some people like Rainforest Cafe and T-Rex both of which are not on the dining plans.

We will have DDP, but because of a night of signature dining, we'll have to pay OOP for one meal. Is the TRex place good? Probably wouldn't do Rainforest because we have that near us.

TRex is fun...the food is good, but not outstanding. But its worth checking out if you have kids.

I havent been to WGP Cafe, but i've been to WGP Express (marketplace) and OMG its heaven. They have better food than a lot of TS restaurants ive been to!!!

Raglan Road is also another fave. A bonus here is their entertainment.

TRex food is similar to Rain Forest but it is fun and a must do for us every trip. DS loves all the dinasours.

in DTD is House of Blues. It is not on the DDP so it would have to be OOP. They have hapy hour from 4-6 ( I believe) and sometimes there are coupons available on restaurants.com.

We had a great meal at Captain Jacks last year. It is small but amazing view and the food was good

TRex portions are huge, I have split their chicken and rib platter (mess o bones or some such name) with two teens!

I'll second Earl of Sandwich, even though there are no ADR's, the line moves quickly and they're yummy!

If you're on the meal plan save your TS credit for somwhere in one of the parks and use a CS credit at WP Express Marketplace. You order and then get a table and they bring out the food to you:yay:

My husband, son and I went to Bongos and loved it. It was one of our favorite meals. Great service as well. We actually enjoyed it more than Wolfgang Puck Cafe.

My husband and I went to Bongos on our last adults only trip and it was wonderful! Probably the best food we had the entire trip....well, except the carrot cake and chocolate lava cake at Wolfgang's!

We went to Paradiso 37 and found the food to be good and they had live music which was pretty good.

Also tried T-Rex but overall we were not big fans and it was just ok. Big portions but we like the atmosphere at Rainforest better.

I would say if you want a good meal and don't want to pay too much oop for food go with wolfgang pucks in the market place end. Its CS food but with TS service. We have eaten there several times and always had both excellent food and service.

Planet hollywood can be a bit hit or miss, we liked our food but it was so loud and the service was not so great. Some cool stuff to look at.

Bongos and Paradiso 37 are our favorites at Downtown Disney. We LOVE Cuban/Spanish cuisine, and the atmosphere at both is really nice.

I'm looking forward to trying Wolfgang Puck Express on our next visit ... I hear lots of good things about that one!

I'm glad to hear some of you say Bongos. We don't have much Cuban food in Colorado! However, some the reviews I've read aren't good at all. I think I have it narrowed down to Bongos or House of Blues.

Any idea why some reviews of Bongos aren't that great?
