Beside the Character Dining, WCC & 50's are there any other places on property like this? We are looking for some new places to eat when we go in Jan.

Here is a list of our favs

Chef Mickey's
Liberty Tree
WCC
50's

I would love any input

I love all them and go to all of them +Teppen Edo is a lot of fun.

Biergarten is a blast. Great fun during the show with kids dancing and the toasts. And of course there is Hoop de doo Revue.

We love Crystal Palace - the characters do a little parade with the kids around the restaurant, and everyone twirls their napkins over their heads. And the food is great!

i called to book ADR and the res agent was so helpful! You might ask them too as they all have different preferences. The one I spoke to told us to do breakfast at the Wilderness Lodge. i cant remember the name of the restaurant but it was so much fun. the wait staff was fantastic and hilarious. They do a parade and lots of fun stuff for the kids. There is also an inside joke if you get your spouse to ask for the ketchup!:rotfl2:

I second Biergarten. I would also add SciFi--we love the atmosphere and the movie clips are funny. Usually the service is very good. I also think that Beaches and Cream is fun because it is such a seaside ice cream shop experience.

If you are looking for fun dining experiences I would definitely add:

Biergarten at Germany in Epcot

&

'Ohana in the Polynesian Resort

Both of these have fun family atmospheres and good food as well. My family always requests to include both of them on every trip.

I'll be another to recommend Biergarten! It's a fabulous time and good food abounds!

If your looking for a once in a lifetime experience I would go to Teppan Edo. The food is cooked right in front of you and its really tasty.

We like Marrakesh in Morocco with the belly dancer. Sci Fi is fun. Coral Reef has declined food-wise, but the experience of eating in front of the big aquarium is great. We like the atmosphere at Rose & Crown Pub, though there isn't entertainment or funny interaction with the staff. We used to enjoy Alfredo's of Roma. We had tons of fun with the Italian wait staff. Not sure about that place now as we haven't been since Alfredo's left.

For character dining, we like the Lilo and Stitch breakfast at the Polynesian. We've enjoyed Garden Grill at Epcot -- the restaurant revolves, but not sure it's still open.

Teppan Edo can be fun, but it really is just a Benihana with a different name. Not exactly once in a lifetime.

In the once in a lifetime category, I'd put dining in the Castle. But, they've made it into such a joke with rushing you in and rushing you out that we don't bother anymore.

Just got back yesterday and here were are faves in terms of fun...

1. HDDR - Kids and us both smiled the entire show and the food was good too.

2. Biergarten - My kids danced the entire time the Oompa band was on.

3. Crystal Palace (breakfast) - Good food, relaxed atmosphere and you can get into the MK an hour early for pictures.

I would have liked to have tried WCC but it just didn't work out for us (and we were even staying in the WLV). The one I wouldn't do again is Chef Mickeys for dinner. Absolute chaos in there and the food was just average imo. In fact, with the exception of the CP breakfast, I think we are going to start moving away from character meals. Just getting burned out on them.

Have fun!

I agree if you've never been to a hibachi restaurant- this is a good one.
We had one by our house growing up adn we always went there 4 times a year on "Report Card Day" to celebrate our report cards as kids :)
I went from age 3 up til end of high school- It was always a fun family memory :)

OH- except for the first time we wnet when my parents werent watching me close enough and i put my hand out and touched the darn table! Ouch!

i really enjoyed the the sci-fi it is okay food but the atmosphere is just great, and also the mexican place in the epcot that over looks the water is neat, kinda like blue byou in disneyland. also my favorite was ohana dinner.

We also really enjoy having some form of entertainment or atmosphere during our meals at Disney, it just adds to the experience.

These are our choices for our upcoming trip:
Biergarten (band and DH loves the food)
Teppan Edo (cooking at the table)
Chef Mickey's/Crystal Palace/1900 Park Fare (character interaction)
Sci Fi (eating in cars/movie clips)
50s/Whispering Canyon Cafe (fun gags with the waitstaff, etc.)
Hoop Dee Doo Review (dinner show)
T Rex/Rainforest Cafe (awesome atmosphere)
Bomas/Yak & Yeti (just for the food!!!)

We also seriously considered:
Le Chefs (Remy at lunchtime)
Marakesh (belly dancing)
San Angel (outdoor atmosphere and the passing boat ride)
Mickey's Backyard BBQ (dancing with characters)
Polynesian Luau (dinner show)

We're going to try to make it over to Fort Wilderness for the Chip and Dale Campfire Singalong/outdoor movie. Not a meal, but a fun and entertaining snack (Smores! YUM!)

We love going to Teppan Edo and lunch at Chefs de France so you can see Remy (he doesn't appear there on Sundays)!

There is a link somewhere to the times that the oompa band plays. Anyone know where to find it?

Excellent, Melissa! Thanks so much. I booked a 6:30 dinner, so maybe the kids will eat something before they start dancing!
