Looking for FP- experiences during FP+ test

Hi All!

I'm hoping to gain some insight from people that have been to the World lately.

Here's the situation: Family and two friends (6 people total) are going to OKW and checking in on 10/15 for 6 nights. We will be a combination of AP and 5 day hoppers, none of which are linked to any MDE profiles. I'm truly on the fence as to whether to try to get invited to FP+ (by linking tickets to profiles and entering resort info) or to just go with FP-.

I know all about FP+ and it's potential benefits and drawbacks, so am looking for some real world experience from people who have been recently and NOT used FP+. Specifically, I would like to know if:

1. The FP- return times have been pushed out beyond "normal" return times due to FP+ reservations.

2. The standby lines have been longer than you expected or have seen in recent years.

Thanks in advance for any thoughts!

Scott

I was there two weeks ago for Labor Day weekend.

1. Didn't notice any difference.

2. Thought lines for HM and Pirates were longer than I'm used to for this time of year, and I go LD weekend almost annually.

We were there the week following Labor Day & found it so low in attendance that we did SB for almost all rides - except TSM, PP & EE I think. We actually pulled FP- just to have a keepsake for our favorite rides since the machines will be gone soon & we'll no longer have those paper tickets.

THAT SAID - there were very few people testing during early September, and I think a lot more resorts have been pulled into the testing for October. I think crowd calendars show that attendance will also continue to climb due to the season as well. You have the Halloween party & F&W drawing crowds.

For me it would depend on whether the FP+ only attractions were a big deal - like ETWB, Wishes, Ariel's M&G - the ones that aren't currently being offered regular FP-..... Since you could reserve FP+ for those attractions & supplement by double dipping with your KTTW cards for other rides it might be worth doing.
