Hi!
This is my first post! I have been visiting the boards each day, and want to thank each and every one of you for all your Disney knowledge that you are sharing!:D Our family of six will be Disney bound the 3rd week of August and we are very excited! We last visited WDW 6 years ago, when my youngest was 2 years old. But, we did not plan that trip AT ALL! This one will be different!
Would you be willing to advise me on our itinerary? We will be staying at a timeshare outside of WDW, and will arrive Saturday afternoon!
Sunday: Animal Kingdom (FlameTree BBQ)
Monday: Epcot (Garden Grill)
Tuesday: Water Park, probably Typhoon Lagoon
Wednesday: Magic Kingdom (Liberty Tree Tavern)
Thursday: Water Park, BB
Friday: MGM (50's PTC)

Do you think we will be able to visit the MK after we see everything in AK? I'd like to have my kids feel the MK Magic ASAP!

Thanks for any advise you may give!:)

Welome to the DIS! I always let Dreams Unlimtied help mw tith my itnerery, so I am sure there are others on the board that can help.

Your list sounds good to me. If you get to AK earli and use fast pass, depending on when MK closes, then you an still go to MK after AK.

Welcome to the DIS.

To answer your question, yes you should be able to go to the MK after AK. AK usually closes as 5:00 anyway, and you may be done before that. MK should at least be open until 10:00.

What kind of tickets will you have? Park hopper with pluses? '

Ed

Thanks for the replies!
We actually have our tickets from the last visit, I know there is one day on them, and possibly even two days. I am in the process of buying the 5 day Park Hopper plus tickets (with the 4 plus'). I will need them for AK, and will have days left over for our next trip!

Where wil I be able to check my tickets, and change the chilren's tickets into adults, without doing it at the ticket windows in the parks? :D

I believe you can change them at DTD.

If you are flying in, I think you can change them at the airport

The only place you can check how many days on the existing passes are at the parks.

Welcome!
You can take care of your ticket business at Guest Services before you enter Animal Kingdom.

AK opens earlier than any of the other parks & I highly recommend starting early to beat the heat & to see the animals while they are frisky. There are no after dark activities at AK, so you might want to see the afternoon parade there & then go to MK for the evening fireworks.

Have you scheduled any Character Meals? They really are magical for kids & adults both.

Try to get to MK early on Wed. to see the special opening ceremonies & the Character Greeting on main street, it's fantastic!

When you get to the 50's Prime Time at MGM, ask for Auntie Claire to serve you, she is the most amazing person! Have your camera ready because she does nutty things! (All in good fun of course.) If she isn't there, ask for an "interactive" server, you'll have a blast!

Do your kids like character autographs? If so, Disney autograph book are for sale in every gift shop, $5.50 last time I checked. Leave a page blank next to the autograph so you can add the picture of your kids with the character later on the facing page.

Back to AK, I highly recommend both Festival Of The Lion King & Tarzan Rocks! as fantastic shows.

Enjoy & take lots of pictures!
