I see you are going to be there in Oct, so you will be there during Epcot's Food and Wine festival, right??
I have seen on the food porn threads that in France, one of the offerings during F&W is these little tiny breads filled with garlic butter and escargots. They look GREAT! I've never tried escargots and that would be a great way to try them. But they only have them offered this way at F&W. I'm not positive, but I think they are a snack credit!!!!!!! I hope since I'm telling you this that they will have them this year.

I have only had them from the kiosk at the food & wine festival, but they were quite good. I let DP try one and I thought he was going to get sick. He then said, "they tasted ok, I just shouldn't have thought about what they were."
Thanks so much for all the replies (even you, RustyScrapper)! We've never eaten at Chefs de France or Bistro, obviously, so we may have to make that a first this trip.
Unless you beer batter and flash fry it, I never thought I'd ever let snails touch my mouth ... But I have to agree that the F&W Fest escargot was excellent! One of my favorites of the whole fest

My DD had the ones at Chef's De France, she was maybe 16 at the time? LOVED them there. She could have simply rotated between the sushi @ CG, calamari @ RainForest Cafe ( couldn't get Spoodles when we needed and now they will be gone ) and the Escargot that trip. I tried one, not my thing, but she has had them at several restaurants and thought theones at Chef's were in her top 2. Of course, the fact that she was eating them at WDW didn't hurt !
Enjoy!
They offer the same things every day, but it is different each year. There aren't too many choices at each booth, but there are A LOT of booths! DS and I did lunch and dinner one day, just by hitting the booths (although I would recommend doing one meal a day instead). Just about everything was delicious, and we got a "taste" of other cultures.
