Hi. I admit I have no idea what I'm doing or exactly how to go about this, but I have done a little research and renting points seems like it might be the way to go for us. We would love to stay at one of the Epcot area resorts (either Boardwalk or Beach Club would be fine). We (me, husband, and baby) would like to arrive April 30th and stay 4 nights, although our dates are a little flexible. A one bedroom would be fine for us. If anybody can help us out, I would love some more information! This trip is planned to celebrate our beautiful baby's first birthday. He was born 12 weeks prematurely and weighed only 1 pound and 7 ounces, but he is doing wonderfully now, so we will have lots to celebrate on this trip!!

Gem,

Congratulations on the baby's success! I had a nephew born at 1.1 lbs a few years ago, so I know what you have gone through.
I can't help you on the rental unless you can finish the stay before the end of March, but you should have plenty of offers soon.

Looks like the cost would be $870 thanks bb Whatever your needs are, perhaps we can assist.

Either way please be sure to visit the Flying Fish during your stay.

I don't have enough points to help you out in that way but maybe in another way, I can give you some advice.
Is there any way you can change your plans to stay from when you have it planned, arriving on Friday to arriving on Sunday and checking out on Friday morning? The stay during those days uses less points and might be more afordable. 120 points vs 145 points. This 25 points might not seem like alot but at $10 per point it is $250. You can buy most of your meals with that amount.
You also can check out a stay at Swan and Dolphin if you are a teacher, nurse or government worker(firemen, policemen, city employee, and I am sure other jobs qualify. I stay there quite a bit at the $99 per night rate. They have increased the rate now to $129 but they run specials alot with the reduced even more rate of $99.
I am a Starwood preferred guest which means I applied for a Starwood card on line. It gets me points for each stay but the best thing is they upgrade me each time I stay. I have been upgraded to consierge 3 out of my 4 stays, and the 4th stay I was given the most fantastic view of both Epcot and MGM. Definately a great perk.

By the way all our babies were 6weeks premature and look at them now congratulations.

For 4/30-5/4 at say Beach Club, I'm coming up with 87 points and 172 points for the Studio and 1 BR respectively. I know that a Standard view at Boardwalk would be a bit cheaper if available but not that much cheaper. I just don't want them to get an unexpected surprise if the $ value for their 4 nights is higher than they are expecting in reading your post. I think maybe you used 5/30 for 4 nights rather than 4/30 for 4 nights.

Recieved a PM from a seasoned member (over 3000+ posts)

I am so sorry, as was pointed out to me I used 5/30 instead of 4/30 as a date.

Simple fact is we all sell the points for the same thing 10 /pt give or take and I cannot offer you a better value in most cases than the other members.

I am so sorry for this mistake, because it may spoil your expectations.
