Jillian & Kara - but you SO DO NOT UNDERSTAND. Those are the things you will run into at the HILTON, not the Outback. You have to check your shoes before you put them on - the funnel spider likes shoes. When you swim on the beach, all those are shallow water creatures. SERIOUSLY. I think the only thing outback related are the snakes. The spiders etc - HILTON. I use to want to go there, but no more. That special on Discover did me in. Any spider that can bite through toenails -

Oh, but Erin, the horrors you escaped!

That special was called the 10 deadliest creatures and they all were from Australia. That place got crossed off my to-do list then and there!

I am a big ole chicken.

After all - croc, no big deal. Lizzard, gross, no big deal. Spider - hand me a blow torch. No blow torch around? Just give me a can of hairspray and a lighter - that should do the trick! Nevermind the can has more likelihood of exploding in my hand, but that thing might bite me.

Lorrie - I would toss in a pair of capris or lightweight pants for the kids too, just in case. Especially if you're planning on going back to the room for a nap each day - I found myself putting on capris for the evening. Not always, but some times.

Kara Glad you mentioned it because I actually hadn't thought about taking pants for the kids.

I got a bit of packing going - 30% maybe. I need to pack the bathroom stuff up and have that done. Plus put my bag together.

Maybe we will go and order Nicolas' cake. I need to get that done but Mia has found Max & Ruby on so I'm stuck for the next little bit.

Tonight is date night for us. I always look forward to my hour. Oh I have to be nice and lay off. Last week we went to the movies and were gone from 4-8.

Lorrie - with the exception of our little trip to Disney for our anniversary, I have had ONE date night in the past year and a half. Seriously. Too cheap to pay a babysitter (never have had one since we had Jeff's parents back in SC) so we just don't go out alone. We really need to change that though....

On the packing - I hear you, I hear you. I need to get with it. I just need to pack. I hate trying to get this done. I also need to get supplies for Nicolas' party. I need to preorder Photopass too. Better do that now.

Dear god woman-- that is horrible. Now i'm thinking twice. We aren't going but the airfare was amazing. BTW I have heard the same thing about Phoenix. A girlfriend got stung by a scorpion in the Hilton there.

Off to Hannah Montana the movie with Beth. Tim to Katie to the lake and I will head up tomorrow after the girl scout tea. It should be a good time. 6 little first graders in their sunday finest complete with hats and gloves. I will post pix, hopefully.

Keep packing Kara and Lorrie. I wish I was going with you.

Hi Girls! I always can be entertained here when I check in. Wasn't expecting an Australian Deadliest creatures discussion! Yikes! I never listen to stuff like that! If you did you would still think that Chicago has gangsters and Al Capone living here! LOL Just kidding....I am sure there are some deadly creatures there but probably not any more dangerous then where Kara lives!

YES...I bought my X Fusion but I am starting to feel guilty about it!

Renee...,I figure if your kids DO get sick they will still have time to recoup before the trip.

Kara..you are like me with shopping. It makes me VERY happy!!! Too happy! I am trying to be good but I just love my daughters clothes and all the HSM and camp rock stuff at the Disney store is on clearance!

Kara...I RARELY do that night out thing with my hubby. I feel bad about it but it's all timing right now I think. We went to a 40th birthday party together last night though. Friday was my Mom's birthday, yesterday was 17 again and breakfast out before that and then the party. Today the temp dropped and so did all of us! Boring day! I am going to try and do laundry or clean something up! Weather will be in the 50's and rainy until Wednesday and then Thursday though the weekend HIGH 70's! CRAZY!!!!!

Hey girlies! Been a quiet weekend here I see.

Well, I am child-free for the next 24 hours or so. I LOVE my girls but they have not gone with their dad in over 3 weeks. And with all of us being sick, and not having any help, I was just really looking forward to a break. I have on one to take care of but myself.

Lauren and I went to her friend's Bat Mitzvah last night. So. Much. Fun! We danced and sang so much - today my feet hurt and my voice is hoarse. And I was so proud of my girl. I was afraid she thought I would cramp her style by being there but we all had a great time. The kids, of course, were all seated in one section of the room, while the adults were on the other; but we would all meet up on the dance floor. She made me happy - I was dancing to a KidRock song and she came running out to dance with me - she told her friends she needed to dance with her mom because she knew I loved the song!

Lauren took my camera to her dad's so he could see the pix, but I'll get it back tomorrow and post some pix!

Debbie - How was 17 Again? My girlfriend couldn't get out on friday to see it, so I'm thinking Lauren and I might try to see it this week. My girls are on spring break and I also want to take both of them to the Hannah movie. Laura - how was it?

Oh it's amazing .. I have my bf here who i work with and see every single day, holiday with and her children feel like my children ... But really i have been screwed over so much by friends that everyone else is just an aquaintance if you KWIM and then i meet Jill on here, it's crazy we clicked immediately as did the kids and her hubbie is amazing too, truly feels like i have known her my entire life .. And as for you guys you are my bestest internet crazy friends ever no seriously you ladies are fantastic!!!!!!!

Cammie...I loved 17 again! I laughed my butt off! I am hoping nothing inappropriate flies out of Elizabeth's mouth though because they do say a few inappropriate things like "You Dick" and "Douche Bag"...there's also a whole discussion about premarital sex...ooopsie!

Debbie, glad to know what's in 17 Again - I was hesitant to take Ally cause of the PG13 rating - now I know NOT to take her!!! It's the premarital sex talk that would freak me out with her..... she's starting to ask too many questions as it is.

Had a decent weekend. Headache all day Saturday and Ally was gone all day! We dropped her off at a friends house for a bday party at 11 - they went to the zoo and we didn't pick her up until 6! But I ended up sleeping for about 3 hours.... Then yesterday I went shopping for myself - new bras (ahhhhh!) and a couple of summer things. Including..... a bikini! Nothing skimpy, but I WILL be wearing this thing by the 4th of July. Period.

Then we took Ally and played 9 holes of golf. So all in all it was a pretty good day. Jeff made some snapper for dinner - I love when he goes fishing here. BUT just found out that in June, red snapper fishing is going to be outlawed for the next year. Then they will reevaluate to see if the population is back up - if not, it will be outlawed for the next 30 years!!! And I love snapper! Jeff said his captain told them there is no shortage but who knows what's up.

OK, off to work now. Hope everyone had a good weekend! Cammie, glad you're back and how fun at the bat mitzvah! Glad Lauren didn't bail on you - I think that is soooo what Ally would do at this point!

Yeah, I thought 17 Again sounded like it would be a little too "out there" for younger kids. Unfortunately the crowd that love Zac in HSM may think this movie is for them when it's really not. I'm not worried about Lauren seeing it though - lord knows we've had THOSE conversations already. But Kara - prepare yourself woman - they're coming!

Oh and yeah - a bikini? One word -- B****! You better not be pulling that thing out when we're down in May. I will not hang out with another mother who can wear a bikini. I have my pride you know!

Erin - I had no idea that person you visited in Oklahoma was a DIS friend. Nice to hear another success story of people meeting on these boards and not getting chopped up when the eventually meet. (now I can breathe a little easier about my May trip!)

Kara - Can you PM me the reservation number for our first night. I can't find the email you had sent me and I want to reserve ME - think I need the number to do that. You don't have the # for the AKL with Ellen do you?

Oh Kara - forgot to mention. I was catching up on the Lost thread and saw that we got some grief for posting that info. about Jacob. I think that's BS and I agree with you. In no way did I consider that spoiler info. I mean, it was printed in a national magazine and did not fall under the category as spoiler. I'm a fan of the show, and will read an article or interview about it when I see it. And of course, those stories will have some news from the set but nothing I feel that gives away the plot. Are those crazies over there maintaining that they avoid every single story they see on the show? I felt like posting my disagreement with them but had seen that it had all blown over so I didn't feel like dragging it up again. But I think I'm done over there.

Laura - that is hotter than here!!!! We are right around 80 now.... But Orlando is getting hot already - we like to go the first of May and I just checked the temps for the weekend we're there - upper 80's!!!! As long as it's not humid, it's fine, but otherwise, that is HOT in Florida cause the sun is so dang hot!

Well, not really. I need to get my **** together, actually get something done and the weather is calling for snow flurries!

17 again...the thing that was good with Elizabeth was that she was young enough where that stuff went over her head. She enjoyed a lot of the slap sticky kinds of scenes and I just am worried about the language stuff.


Cammie...can you post the LOST link?

Good news....we will also be hitting 60 on Thurday and then 70's to 80's by the weekend! Yeah!
