OK, so Jeff just went to the doctor - he really liked her, which is a big step for Jeff! Of course, the pain has subsided over the past couple of days...... But she basically told him nothing. They will test his urine and go from there, and she told him to call back and come in immediately if the pain comes back. So, who knows? :confused3

I'm whooped today - I feel like I've been hit by a truck. I think it's from Aunt Flo and no workouts this week. I really need to hop back on the elliptical or get to the gym tonight. I broke down, fell off the wagon and went to McD's for lunch today. Those fries were sooooo good! But that would be my calorie allotment for the day! So maybe a salad for dinner. And lots of water to wash that crap out of my system!

Okay, so I've decided you aren't all ax murderers, and furthermore, I've decided you all use your names and no one has axed you yet -:rotfl2: so I've updated my siggie. :)

Cammie - good greif! I can't imagine having to carry her chair out! ON ICE! WOW! I hope it melts somewhat for you today. Stay warm.

Jillian - I didn't notice that your trip was so close. Forgive me for not being on your TR yet, but I haven't been anywhere but here. I need to do that, but other things have been taking up my time. Like cleaning, so I guess I am okay for that excuse!

Kara/back to Martha - I love your drapes. I removed mine downstairs in the dining room this week. I haven't replaced them, but I'm okay with just the blinds for now. Long story there, but I'm happy with my statement at the moment :)

I'm still doing the deduction estimates for taxes this weekend. Basically I kept lists and photos, but didn't estimate values. That is what I'm trying to do. SO far I'm up to $3k I think, and still more to go. Bulk of the rest I won't get much for since they are toys, but the clothes really are worth donating!

I was planning on having my BF a necklace made for her 40th. Today just in conversation she talked about all the jewelry that her hubby got her that she never wears becasue she isn't a jewelry person. :headache: SO....

Any ideas from anyone on what I could give her? I'm a little stumped. I can come up with "things" but I want it to be something special that she can keep.

and this is what I had planned - not diamonds or anything, but green is her favorite color, and blue is mine...

OK, so are you no longer Renee?

Lori, Laurie, Laura, LORRIE!!!!! I'll get it right!

Okay Kara - I knew to expect sass out of you! :rotfl2:

BTW - what ended up being the verdict on the cheerleading. I know that you paid already, but the "books" would say since you threatened her with it, now you must follow through. I tell you what, I do the same thing here and end up giving in - maybe that is why my munchkins really don't listen to me like they do their dad :confused3 . I feel for you though, Carlos always says we have to get control of Mia now, or else she'll be on the pole (aka - a stripper). :rotfl2: She has a very strong personality! I can fuss at her now and she shouts "HEY!" at me :headache: I just know I'll be dealing with far worse out of this one!

My goodness - Anyone else hear the story about Kujo the dog? He is in Ohio. Two old ladies found him on one of their coldest nights - he had a note scribbled in a child's writing saying they couldn't feed him anymore, to please take care of him.

Makes me tempted to call and say we'll take him....

Hiya all,

Lorrie - I love the jewellery, but understand her not wearing the stuff - as I don't either, it would be such a shame for it to be put in a box and not worn....
The best present a friend gave me - and I still have it and look at it, was for my fortieth. She did up a photobook with one of the big online companies - she got all the digital photos of us and me and hubby and kids - and my parents and siblings, then she scanned pics of me as a baby and put it all together with some really lovely headings and got it printed - I had never seen photobooks before - it was such a treat....
She said it was really easy... and it cost about our limit..... now don't laugh, but we always had this agreement that whatever we bought each other would never cost more than the age that birthday.. Stops any BIG gestures etc, and makes life a bit easier...

Cammie - I think Drake and Josh is just fine for kids in "double figures" - I didn't like having to explain what at "hot" date was to a six year old, but by 13/14 I guess they may just know nowadays....

We are having loads of success with the earning screen time stuff - they are doing homework from school without complaint, practising piano and then not always wanting to use their "screen time" anyhow - a result we weren't expecting!

We also take screen time more seriously for us grown ups too and play more board games with the kids - stuff like Destination, Monopoly and Scrabble - we are improving the kids arithematic and spelling too!!!!! I can really see how my parents used all those "devious" methods with us when we were little ( that will be £35 - if I give you £50 how much do you give me back ......). Though at the time we just thought it was fun winning ;)against the grown ups...

Hope the weather is improving for you all over there - when we have a cold spell it gets to about -1 but in CENTIGRADE/CELSIUS/WHATEVER I don't know how you lot cope when it's FARENHEIT!!!!!:scared:

Tessa

Oh, that just breaks my heart!!! :sad2: I'm a sucker for a lost dog....

As for cheerleading, I emailed her coach and she replied with "good for you!" but we have only cancelled this week for her. Ally still thinks it's the whole season, so if she's good next week, we'll tell her she can go back. That was Jeff, not me. I was ready to cancel the whole season.

So frustrated - didn't lose a bit this week, but then I ate at McD's and didn't work out but about 15 minutes total. Tonight we're off to the gym again, need to get back up on that horse!

I'm thinking if it's not raining tomorrow I need a Disney fix. The house is pretty clean, my drapes are done, so I may wake everyone up around 6 to go! Need to make sure my neighbors are home to let Bucky out once or twice during the day though....

Check out my status on facebook, think y'all will like it!

OK, tomorrow I need to call for our ADRs for May - I need to get a place the night before BSIL's tickets start so it has to be somewherre out of the parks. At first I suggested Raglan Road, but I like to try someplace we haven't eaten before, so that will be my last reseort....

I was thinking Cape May or Ohana. Any other ideas? Thoughts? She's picky as hell so I need to decide and book it today before she gets all weird about it. If she doesn't like my choice, they can eat somewhere else and we'll meet them in the park the next day. I could really care less - after all, I'm the one making the effort here.

I'm liking the idea of Ohana, but that may be too expensive for them. And then I'm gonna book a breakfast at Kona - must try tonga toast!!! See why I want to stay at Poly so bad? Ohana and Kona.....

Loved the ohana dinner. The gal that did the entertainment was great. Tim loved the food on a skewer. The rest of the food was good too. Beth wasn't overly in love wit the food but loved the hotel. It is definitely on my list of placces to stay when I win the lottery. Oh wait you have to play to win.

Again last night we were up. This time it was Beth. I hate vomit. It is going to be a long day.

Laura- Poor Beth and you too. I hate vomit too. It's amazing what we deal with for our kids.

Kara- Where are you staying in May? What about beaches and cream you don't need an ADR for there and you can walk the boardwalk? The next place I want to try is the Turf Club at Saratoga Springs. Everyone raves about it. I have been looking at allears and 'Ohana is average for meal prices no matter where you go. :confused3

Tessa- Growing up I was only allowed to watch an hour of TV a day and it was after all of my chores where done as I got older and had siblings things changed. I think it is great that they are earning TV time.

Vomit? What do you mean - I love vomit! Just kidding, I just wanted to be different. Laura, hope Beth feels better soon - and you need to take care of yourself too!

I'm thinking O'hanas will be good - I was thinking of the luau that was more expensive. I know Jeff would like meat on a stick.... And I'm gonna get the Tables in Wonderland card too. I'm sure we'd get our money's worth.

OK, calling tomorrow to book - only doing Kona and Ohanas for May and maybe Le Cellier, and maybe 50's Primetime for March? I just don't know where we'll be in March though....

Hi Girls!
Sorry to all the sickies!!! I hope you get better. I can relate. It's just one thing after another here.
Kara..lucky you making ADRs...
Hi Lorrie!!!!!!!LOL! Please don't tell me the dog stories...I just cry so bad!
Have a great Friday!

Stops any BIG gestures etc, and makes life a bit easier...I LOVE this idea. I will need some help from her sister. Sadly, there are only a couple of pics of us together - we're always so busy behind the camera that we forget. BUT there are a few and this idea would be so fun. We were just talking about yesterday how much we loved sentimental homemade things and our husbands never do that. PERFECT!! :cool1: Thank you Tessa!!!!:cheer2:

We are having loads of success with the earning screen time stuff - they are doing homework from school without complaint, practising piano and then not always wanting to use their "screen time" anyhow - a result we weren't expecting! :scratchin Hum... I think I need to do this too.

Funny, because I've always thought the same thing. Carlos thinks first in metric system and converts and it seems so... :crazy2:

Tessa

Ally still thinks it's the whole season, so if she's good next week, we'll tell her she can go back. That was Jeff, not me. I was ready to cancel the whole season. Well, I hope she does well next week - but what if she doesn't. You and Jeff honestly need to have a plan B established that you can fire off - so everyone is on the same page. Carlos and I really do poorly at that, and the kids are learning that I"m the softy & how to use that to their advantage. It needs to stop. I don't want to have my kid on the "13 years old and out of control" trash TV show! :scared:

So frustrated - didn't lose a bit this week, but then I ate at McD's and didn't work out but about 15 minutes total. Tonight we're off to the gym again, need to get back up on that horse!Well, how would you like to follow your diet to a T and gain 3 lobs. So last night I had a burger and fries. H*ll, if I'm going to gain the weight, I at least want to have a reason! :snooty:

I'm thinking if it's not raining tomorrow I need a Disney fix. The house is pretty clean, my drapes are done, so I may wake everyone up around 6 to go! Need to make sure my neighbors are home to let Bucky out once or twice during the day though....

I think Ohana would be great. What are you thinking woman? Pick something she WILL be wierd about so she won't go and you get 1 day of no issues! :rotfl2: Seriously, If I were getting there, I would think that would be a fun first dinner. Why not take her to Boma? :joker: :rotfl: :rotfl2:

Loved the ohana dinner. The gal that did the entertainment was great. Tim loved the food on a skewer. The rest of the food was good too. Beth wasn't overly in love wit the food but loved the hotel. I'm so sorry you were up. Poor Beth, and poor you. Normally, I'd join in the party, but the kids vomit doesn't bother me. Anyone else - :crazy2: I think the mommy genes kick in and you just want them to feel okay. Hope you and Beth get rest today! :flower3:

And don't worry too much about calling me about the tax thing~ We are going to H&R block tomorrow. I'll just do it - and hopefully it will work! ;) You rest!

Vomit? What do you mean - I love vomit! Just kidding, I just wanted to be different. Laura, hope Beth feels better soon - and you need to take care of yourself too!

Okay ~ what is Tables in Wonderland? :confused3

LE Cellier - that is the french joint right? :rotfl2:

Yes, Lorrie (see? I got it right!), Le Cellier is the French joint and Ohana is the Italian place. :rotfl2: I do actually like the idea of Boma - gonna go check it out right now.

I'm not too worried about dinner with them. We're going down on Fri and leaving Sunday afternoon - so we'll have a day and a half by ourselves and only a couple hours with them.

I asked where they were staying and she got all bent out of shape cause they're at All Stars - who cares??? We always stay value for week long trips - but doing short weekends allows us to ocassionally splurge a little bit. She gave me the old, "We let Drew pick and he wanted All Star Sports.... it didn't make sense for us to spend more on a room...." Seriously, I could care less where they stay. I was just asking so I didn't book at the same place! :lmao: But now that we're at a mod, she'll be all pissy about it. I just know her. And actually, I will enjoy it!!! Now I'm really hoping I can swing Poly for the weekend! I know, I know, I'm truly evil aren't I???
