Hey Erin! I haven't eaten at Flying Fish in a couple of years, but it's very good. I believe Kara has said it's one of her faves! Anyone can eat there - you don't have to be staying at the BW to enjoy the restaurants there. It is pretty pricey - if I remember correctly, it costs 2TS credits if you're on the dining plan. I'm not sure about the size of your party though; if you need reservations for such a large party, I would call the "grand gatherings" line - they help secure large party ADRs. If you're at MK, you can just hop on the BW bus. Or, if you have a car, you can drive over and park at the BW; you can park there as long as you have dinner ADRs on the BW. If you get a bus right away from MK, it's only about 20 minutes.
Like I said, Kara may have been there more recently than me, so she might be able to help you out more! And don't apologize for asking -- it's never too soon to start planning!;)

Erin- I hear Flying Fish is super yummy my Aunt and Uncle eat there everytime they go to Disney. I agree with Cammie call the Grand gatherings line and see what they have to say.

Thanks both of you .. You're right Cammie the menu does look pricey although not the kids meals which is 1 reason i picked it as we have 7 kids going and all of various likes and dislikes, it looked like there was something they would all eat, but crikey the adults meals are a bit much hey!
Oh grgrgrg that means back to my hunt ;)
Not sure on the Grand Gathering as we're not staying on Disney property we have 1 big villa so assumed they don't do anything but i will cetainly phone and check.

Thanks again

the snow stories remind me of the goofy e-mail I saw a few years back.. This guys moves to MN from FL. hasn't ever seen snow. can't wait to see it and by the end of the season, he is cursing the stuff.

I hope it stops soon for you.

Erin can't give you any advice on those either. They are on my to try list.

I'm famous!!!!
Jeff's favorite thing I make is a tater tot casserole. It is just good comfort food..
I printed that one out to give it a shop.

So what's up with DP tonite? I've had a REALLY bad day and I'm drinking anyway ---- would like to also be able to chat with you guys!
I can't believe I missed DPing! :sad1:

Here I am! I've made a Pommegranite martini!

My day? Well guess what? After my post the other day, who do you think is sick today? Yep, Amanda!!!
Has the EX called or Lauren texted you with how Amanda is doing today? I'm hoping that she is feeling better.

It's 9:26 here.

And being stuck in the house with this cold weather is just making me want to eat junk! I'm not being good with my diet. On the flip side, I'm doing well with my resolution about not biting my nails - I actually have some white tips showing!

Yay me!:cheer2:
WELL - I have your problem in spades! I'm doing well on the diet, but I have started biting my nails - to the point that my cuticles are bleeding - what is wrong with me????

IWe actually didn't start leaving the kids with the grandparents until they were 5 and 7. I:
I tell you what, I was just about in tears yesterday thinking how much I would give for a weekend of just Carlos & I. The kids are so sweet, but I feel this loss of connection we had before them. I wish I had somewhere to leave them, but I don't . My SIL would do it for me, but she has a newborn and works FT as a nurse too, so I don't think it would be fair.

Yeah I haven't heard good things about USAir; but this wasn't a plane problem. Just a freak of nature accident. And if they're employing pilots like this guy, I wouldn't be so worried.
That pilot was great. Ex Air Force. That is who I want to ride with!!!1

Mike and I are talking about getting Wii I think the fit board is so great be a neard
We got one and LOVE IT. If you have a Circuit City there - they are having great deals. Also Target got quite a few in.

hubby fell off his bicycle in the ice here and tore all the skin off his elbow and lower arm - not broken THANK GOODNESS!! And the girls have both been waking at 6am for some reason - I just don't DO before 7!!

Tessa
Hope that hubby is doing better. POOR THING!!!!!!

My BF & I had a serious talk about me maybe getting the breast reduction done this year. I lost some weight and went in for a professional measure hoping I'd hear good things about my size getting smaller.... NOPE. 36H. WTH? ERRRRRR.

Okay, off to see what hubby is fussing about. I think Mia needs a diaper.

Ok thanks Debbie .. What is Cape May like? That's a possibility on a breakie, the 4 older kids are picking 1 each

Yummy buffet! Seafood oriented. We always enjoy it!

Renee... Don't forget I had the breast reduction and am a huge fan of it! Changes your life but I feel it is very important to lose the weight you want first...very important. Email me about it any time!

I printed that one out to give it a shop.
That is the best thing. Mine has cream of mushroom soup in it though. I thought it was only a minnesota dish

WELL - I have your problem in spades! I'm doing well on the diet, but I have started biting my nails - to the point that my cuticles are bleeding - what is wrong with me????

WOW! We are a lot a like. My nails are short too

Again, if we all lived closer together....

That pilot was great. Ex Air Force. That is who I want to ride with!!!1

I figure once they are big they stay big. I'm in the same boat except on is 1 cup size larger than the other. Makes shopping so much fun. I'm at something like a 36 G and H. Two of my GFs have had the surgery and love it.

Okay, off to see what hubby is fussing about. I think Mia needs a diaper.

I put a ton of pics up on FB. The girls are being nuts. I'd better go squash the riot. I have one running around yelling Mutiny!

Okay, I'm DP cuz I am out of town at a ski resort kind of town - only we don't ski - :rotfl2: I had two fun parties with my Arbonne friend, and tonight when I got back to the hotel, I had a glass of wine, then we went out for a really nice dinner - best since the cruise without that kind of price! :thumbsup2 (we don't have good restaurants at home). Now I am on my third glass of wine- my nose itches! :rotfl: We have a suite with a fireplace, so i should be drinking wine, right? We already .... last night, so tonight is for drinking! LOL!

Renee, thanks so much for the offer of the shoes - I think you should send them to Debbie, cuz Myles is on a growth spurt and will probably be in a 12 really soon! Just ask your SIL to keep the kids for ONE night! She will be okay for one night - busy or not! You and your kids need it!

Erin, FF and CMB are both on our ADRs for March - I'll let you know. I chose FF cuz Cammie talked about it!

About FB, it is kind of creepy! Our children's pastor wants to be my friend, and I feel like he just wants to spy on me or something. I have been just ignoring it. His request is like "dream guy request" or something like that - What's up with that? :confused3

I'm sorry you weren't all there on Firday! I'll have to try to get Mr. Jeff as my friend too LOL! Happy Monday everyone! I'm going to stop tyoping now!:grouphug: I have to watch Desp housewives.

Hey girls as you all know from my ticker i still have a year to go till my next trip :crazy2: however being the CF that i am and a slight WW i am needing to feel proactive already hahahaha so i have a couple of questions and thought i'd ask you ladies first b4 asking everyone else on the site :rotfl:

Anyway as it's Cj's 11th b'day when we go i am doing special b'day meals .. am planning on the 1900 Park Fare breakie with Mary Pops and then dinner somewhere .. that is my prob :rotfl: ... Does anybody know what the Flying Fish Cafe is like? It's also on the Boardwalk, we have never been on the Boardwalk are we allowed if not staying onsite? How would we get there from MK and how long will it take? And would that cafe be ok to seat possibly 21 people? :scared1: I know then that i can order a cake from the Boardwalk bakery

Thanks for listening to the ramblings of a crazy lady :hyper:

Love, Love, LOVE Flying Fish! It is one of my faves! It is a bit pricey but it is sooooo worth it! And if you've never been to the Boardwalk, that would be a fun evening for you! There are street performers all up and down the boardwalk, magicians, juggles, just silly games. It's a lot of fun!

Jeff is freaking out over my DISbuds as his fb friends! He's like "okay, your friends are scaring me.... one wants to own me as a pet (Debbie), and one is now talking about DP (Jillian)....." He thought DP was double penetration!!!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Poor guy, he's clueless!

Tessa - I really hope your DH is doing better - that sounds awful!

Well, Jeff and I made it to the gym 4 times over 8 days. I am starting to notice the difference just in my attitude toward working out. I feel so good when I get back, even if I'm a little sore - it's a GOOD pain!

And there are 25 people in the neighborhood signed up for Biggest Loser. I lost 3.5 lbs last week, and my neighbor lost 4 - he's such a jerk about it so I want to BEAT him! He's a lot bigger to begin with though, so it might be hard. I just found out there's a $300 cash prize to the winner!!! That's my iphone! There are only 2 people ahead of me after the first week - I just need to keep it up for about 7 more weeks...... iphone, iphone, iphone.....

OK, off to shower and work today - Ally is home for MLK day, so I need to keep her occupied for part of the day - I'm thinking playdate with her little friend down the street.

I am going to try to clean my office up really good today - it's just a bunch of clutter that I toss in here. It looks horrible so I need to buckle down today and do this.

Good Morning Kara! IKWYM about your office - I just through things around in mine all December - it's really small, (actually moved to a storage room in the garage while the babies have my old one) so you can hardly get in there right now. I was going to reorganize it all Christmas break - yah, right! I really have to so I can start sorting stuff for taxes!:faint:

That's so funny about Jeff and DP!:rotfl2: That term would have never even entered my mind!

Tessa, how is your hubby?

We have to head out to a nearby town and record a land deed from Jim's parents, and then head home. We live about 3 hrs from here. I have really enjoyed the peace and quiet - but we'll miss those babies when they move.

Yummy buffet! Seafood oriented. We always enjoy it!

Renee... Don't forget I had the breast reduction and am a huge fan of it! Changes your life but I feel it is very important to lose the weight you want first...very important. Email me about it any time!
I know, I know. I need to get skinny first. :) I'm just itching to get the ball rolling, but I know you are right. I guess maybe that can be my motivation to get my butt in gear! PS - Tammie said to send the shoes to you, so I'll get them in the mail to you this week. :)

We have a suite with a fireplace, so i should be drinking wine, right? We already .... last night, so tonight is for drinking! LOL!

Just ask your SIL to keep the kids for ONE night! She will be okay for one night - busy or not! You and your kids need it!.
YES YOU DESERVE IT! It sounds lovely! :goodvibes

As for SIL - it isn't that simple. She is either a 6 hour drive, or a 1 hour plane trip away in Ohio. It stinks, because if I lived closer to her that would be wonderful. She is just like a sister to me! I'm so lucky to have her.

I seriously about peed my pants! HYSTERICAL! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

O.
YOU CAN DO IT KARA! Keep in mind it is percentage, not actual pounds. :goodvibes

I'm feeling sick today. My throat is all sore and I just want to crawl in bed and stay there. Unfortunatly, Nicolas is out of school today, so I have two little ones to tend to.

Speaking of ... I guess I should get off here.

I've about got Carlos convinced we need to :badpc: our CPU. His payment was late because I couldn't get the PC to load the web page to make his car payment for three days. TOLD HIM it is a POS!

:p I'm still laughing about Jeff ::yes::

Kara - my steamer shipped today! :cool1: So, am I understanding right that you "mop" your floors with yours? I didn't even consider that - I had thought it was more like a fine point nossle that you cleaned small areas at a time. I think this is just getting better & better!

I got part one of my goal for the day done, so I'm off to tackle Mt. Laundry. I don't do it for 2 days and suddenly we have laundry everywhere! :guilty:

Yes, Renee - I use it to mop my floors. The attachments are so easy to switch that I use it for everything! Jeff used it to clean his old grill this summer - worked wonders! And I use it for the tile grout, plus just regular mopping. Go ahead and mop your floors FIRST, then use the steamer. You'll be amazed at how dirty the cloth is AFTER you just cleaned with a regular mop! I love this thing! And it's great for getting around the base of the toilet. My house has never been so clean!

Wow, I sound like an infomercial!!! :lmao:

So for giggles, I priced SWV for a 7 night trip to WDW - us & the 2 kids @ Pop. Park Hoppers. Preferred Location. Get this - $2200. :sad2: That is air, travel insurance, everything, but I don't think food was included, so maybe it isn't that big of a let down now that I think of it.

I need to stop this. We aren't going until 2009 and I should just stop obsessing. After all - 2009, 10 years of marriage, SIL will go to and keep the kids one night for us. I just need to stick with that and shut up... but it is SO HARD! :sad1: :sad2:

Okay, so I have time to stop in a couple time and this place is empty. I know better than that.... are you guys on Facebook? Or something else I'm missing out on????

My BF's birthday is the end of April - big 40 this year. You know what I was in the kitchen thinking about us getting away for a weekend... :scratchin I don't know if that would be her idea of a good time, but I was thinking about maybe a BW room, time in EPCOT. Leave on Friday am, back Sunday PM. Carlos only has to be off a day. Just me & her.... Nice dinner, goofing off. HUM..

She had said she wanted to get away to scrapbook with me for a weekend, but I was thinking since this is a special birthday maybe we should do something special. I thought of NYC, but I think WDW might actually be cheaper.

I need to investigate....

Okay, I looked into it. I know her hubby wants to take her to NOLA, but they go there ALOT and she doesn't want to go there. She wants me & her to do a trip & then him & her do one.

I just looked, now - the hard thing is she has been to WDW quite a lot. Never stayed on property though. April 28 is her bd, but we'd need to do it on a weekend, so I was looking at Friday 24-Sun 26. We could leave here at 6 am, and get to Orlando at 9 EST, then leave there Sun at 6 pm, and get here at 7 CST.

Okay, Cont would be cool $1636 for that with dining & 2D ticket with PH.
CSR $1021.60 with 3 day PH tix, NO DINING
CSR $1309 with 3 Day Hopper with dining (& if we take off hopper -106.50)

It looks like airfair regular price would be $250, but I'm going to say I bet we could get it for $150 after a DING!

Thoughts/suggestions. I don't know what to do for her, but I sure would like for it to be a special day for her. Her family is a little strange, and she had expressed concerns that if she had a party where we invited people, there might be some "disagreements". I agree with her. I just don't know what to do, but I hate the idea of her 40th being us couped up on a hotel for 2 days scrapbooking - don't get me wrong, I like to do that sort of thing, but ....

Watch for special deals on the internet. And you may be better off the next weekend, as I've seen some specials already for the first of May. Plus, I'll be there that weekend! :goodvibes

I think y'all should stay on the BW somewhere - BC, YC, or BW so you can wander over to Epcot and eat in the WS. OR, maybe look into OKW or SSR so you're near DTD (of course you can get anywhere FROM anywhere!). I loved CSR when Ally and I stayed there in November. Great transportation from there to everywhere! And don't do PH maybe. OR, if you're getting in late on Friday, just do two days of tickets and spend Friday night at DTD - Raglan Road is the bomb!!!!

Yeah, I was thinking about the weekend prior since Nicolas' birthday is on that following Monday - but then again, I could always have his party the next weekend.

My BF thinks I'm nuts about WDW - so, I'm going to mention it to DH first, then to her and see what she thinks. Honestly, I'm not so sure that a trip to Las Vegas or NYC would be cheaper. And for her 40th, I just hate to drive an hour down the road and then just get a hotel or something.

The other thought I had was to rent a cabin with a hot tub if she really has her heart set on scrapbooking.

BUT PERSONALLY, I think we'd have so much more fun at WDW! ::yes::

880069707_MV_PD.jpg

I think I am liking this... or just a princess channel band. Anyone with any thoughts?

I have to start hinting early if I hope to get one next year! :lmao:

Well, I'm having such a lovely conversation with myself today. :p

Carlos just nixed the trip. DRAT! He said we are in financial lockdown and since there is no family vacation, that equals no 40th trip with the BFF either. He did say he'd do dinner and a night around here if we wanted.

Oh well, the dream was fun for the few hours it lasted.
