y'all are going to think I have lost my mind ( yes-kara I said y'all it does work nicely in some instances)

I was reading something on this G** Forsakens election and noticed that weather underground was some crazy group. I had to google it to find out that it is some crazy group but it is also a legitamite weather site. Debbie I was scare for a minute. Thought we were supporting some crazy people. Well we are crazy but these people are CRAZY :)

is it bad to let the girls beat each other? They are so over tired they look at each other and the battle is on. I love them so much but letting them battle it out once in a while isn't a bad thing.

We could be the CRAZY UNDERGROUND group! :scared1: I'll be glad to hear about something other than the elections, too - although Jim's paycheck and retirement depends on the outcome.

It was in the low 40's when Ally went to the bus this morning!!!! Only in the 50's now. I hate winter down here - it's so damp. Even on a bright sunny day like today, it feels about 10-15 degrees colder because of the humidity.

Tammie - I forgot to mention the kids too - they look very sweet - fun pictures! And I, um, ahem, cough, sputter, kinda like your sign! :thumbsup2

Since we're closed the day after Thanksgiving, and we can now go to Jeff's parents house for the weekend, I guess that means we don't have to drive up before then. So I'm thinking..... Disney on Saturday??? I need to find out which park to visit for low crowds, but that might be a good day to go. It'll definitely be time to layer clothes though. And with Jeff going, we can stay later and he can drive home in the dark.

OK, didn't mean to rub it in. Honestly!

Renee - I hate that everyone, including the car, is sick!!! Have fun at your party tonight!!! Hey, I love me some Target, so don't knock it!

Laura - let em go at it! I think kids learn to deal with life's later problems by working it out early on.

Gotta run!

Awww, thanks. Now I feel stupid for asking - I just noticed that my pics were the page before Cammie's eye candy, and I thought maybe they were missed - it's a Grandma thing! ;)

And, we have the last few days before snow hits for Halloween, so I am jealous of your weather and your Disney, but I'm happy for you, too!

Tammie - I'm so sorry! I scanned through these quickly yesterday and meant to come back and comment and now realized I never did!

Your grandbabies looked adorable! I won't comment on the political statement one of your pumpkins is making though!;)

I've been skimming - sorry I missed commenting but I saw them before! They are both just cute as they can be! Love that little butterfly - just too stinkin cute!

Now, I'll never live this down, so I don't know why I'm baiting people (uh... humm... Kara) but I read it and was like...
:confused3 Man, they must really hate that Alabama team to carve that into a pumpkin! :confused3

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Tammie - Sorry - Mia has the same COLD VIRUS that lead to the pnemonia. Not the pnemonia or the asthma thing - Nicolas doesn't blow his nose still - which is how he got the pnemonia. Drained into his lungs. Mia's got the yucky sounding cough settling in. I'm keeping him home tomorrow and it is their halloween party. His teacher called, I just explained I thought it would be better to keep him in this week. Tomorrow should be near 30 - and they spend a good bit of time outside.

Off to put on my attire - hey at least I'm using my Liz Clayborn coat from when I use to work :rotfl2:

Kara - Last year, we arrived at Disney on the Sat. after Thanksgiving; went to Epcot. Wasn't that bad at all. According to the front desk at BW, Sat. is a BIG checkout day for the holiday crowds. You may be ok at any of the parks! Don't be so sure about the layering though. In my pictures from last year, we were wearing tank tops and shorts that first night.

It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood.........

And, Lauren and her friend the other night at the movies. That bundle my daughter is cradling? Yeah, I had her smuggle in some water bottles - real subtle, huh?

Hey Cammie...
tell Lauren to....................................
........... back off my man!!!

Renee.....hope the kids recoup fast. Elizabeth missed a tom of school with that last year. It's a real bummer.

Cammie....great Fall foliage!
Tammie....don't apologize. I'm just like you and I'm not even the "Grandma".

Hi All,
I just got home from seeing HSM3 again with all 3 of my girls this time (and DD14's friend.) You know, I think I liked it more this time, but I realized what I like better about the first two, Sharpay. I didn't think she is in this one enough, I like her. But, we enjoyed it. DD14 found it "disturbing" that I said Zac was hot, she found it more "disturbing" that I said I'm only 12 years older than him...Funny. She thinks I am "so old", she has no idea...
Anyway, I still like the others better, but I liked this one a little more tonight, don't know why, but I did...

Now Renee, why would you even post this? Cause I about choked on my coffee! That's ALAbama not Obama!!!!!!!!!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Hope Mia and Nicolas perk up soon!

No, I meant THIS Saturday!!!! We're going to SC for Turkey Day I think. I just hope it's too late for Jeff's sister to change her plans and go there too. I know, I'm terrible. But she's got two little ones, and with Bucky, well, he's just so misunderstood! Plus, I don't like HER!!! BSIL!!!

You are so right about Sharpay! She and Chad are my two faves from all the movies! And I think maybe if I see it again I might like it more too. After all, with the first two movies on DVD, I think I saw them each 252 times in the first 48 hours! :lmao:

And I know why my kid gets picked on. Her mother is a dork! Every time she asks me "what time is it?" y'all know how I answer..... "Summertime - it's our vacation...." and yes, I sing it. Or maybe I change it to "Dinnertime - it's time to eat now." She's already embarassed by me! :rotfl:

I played hooky a bit yesterday - didn't feel great, so I took the phone off the hook and took a nap. Then the A/C guy came to work on our venting situation. Hopefully it's fixed now, after 4 trips out here. Our bedroom gets no circulation - hot in summer and cold in winter. And by the way, it's FREEZING here this morning!!!!!

Saturday it's supposed to be sunny and 73 so Orlando should be upper 70's I think. Might be a good day to hit MGM or MK I think. Jeff asked if he could join Ally and I in two weeks. Since we're leaving early Friday morning, I told him to drive down Saturday morning and meet us, after he drops Bucky at the vet. He doesn't want to pay for the kennel though so he might now come. Cheapskate. It would only be $40 for the weekend. Oh well, we'll see.

Kara !!! We do that too- including the singing - drives the kids up the wall!
:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: Just goes to show it doesn't matter where you live.

But Cammie - I want to live where you live!

Going to London this weekend (by coach) - of course the underground rail line near the hotel is down this weekend replaced by a bus! The temperature is falling - and we may have snow!!! Why always when we go away?? I'm sure it will turn out ok. We are going on the London eye for a kids Halloween special ...... spooooooooky...... Then the zoo (freezing probably!!) on Sunday, followed by the museums and IMAX on Monday - kids then go back to school on Wednesday till the 19th Dec.

Loved the Halloween costume pictures - we really don't get into it over here the way you do.... They certainly wouldn't have parties at school for children!! It is still seen as a bit "evil" I suppose over here.... witchcraft, ghouls, undead, superstition - the "church" hate it - to me it's a bit of fun...

Tessa

Hey all still here. Home with a stiff neck and there wasn't even any drinking or sex involved!:confused3

We're going to see "HSM3" on saturday with a group of girls - oh boy, what have I gotten myself into. The girls have a 1/2 a day so I'm working from home. Not doing a whole lot of working though.

Hope everyone is staying warm - it's cold here in MA!

tammie -- i too loved the photos, of course the man candy got me distracted.

Lauren thinks we're BOTH pathetic! And she now knows why I bond so well with you guys!
We are pathetic!!!!:rotfl2:
Hey...are you part of these snow storms? I would be dying!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After today it is going to warm up a little here so that's good. I think they are saying 60's for Halloween which would be great.

I have self diagnosed myself with "seasonal anxiety". I think I made it up. I am starting to pinpoint why and what gets it going It's started alright too. I also think it's funny how your Mom can contribute to this even in you are estranged, annoyed or best friends with your Mom like I am. Also, you guys have known me long enough to know how I get all bent out of shape regarding Thanksgiving and Christmas so that's nothing new here and for some reason I STILL haven't found a way to get rid of that! And lastly throw my monthly friend into the mix with some extra cold weather and there you have it......me in coo coo mode. Oh well......thanks for being here to listen to me through it. I figure by 2009 now I will be coming back down to normal!

I listened to the HSM 3 CD and I love it. I had a VERY realistic dream about Zac last night too:love: . I am pathetic. I have a theory on that too. When I was a teenager I had very romantic, cheesy, fairytale ideas about life but my life wasn't like that. I think I am reliving my teen years through HSM (not Elizabeth). That's how I wanted my teen years to be! Are anyone's teen years really like that though???? I fear the days my kids are teenagers.......really I do!

Have a good one girls!!!!!!

And Kara....yes we do the same songs here!
Sorry you are cold too! Yikes! BUT exciting you are heading to WDW! I wish I was!

I will try to hold off in getting the HSM3 cd because I want Santa to give that to the girls. We have a 'pack' in my house that nothing is purchased between Halloween and Christmas because it gives Santa something to buy. I know it's not Halloween yet and I can buy it, but I want to have things in their stockings and that would be a great buy for it.

I'm sitting here laughing because this Halloween we are ending a tradition that has been in place for 3 years....we are not using my mil's golf cart to drive around the neighborhood and trick or trick. I know it's sad. We're going to have to walk - for miles - in the cold.

Funny when I was a kid we walked until our pillowcases were so heavy and full to the top that we could barely carry them. Then we'd eat as much candy as we could all the way back home that by the time we got home they weren't heavy anymore. We (meaning me and a few gfs) walked ALONE, up and down neighborhoods for hours in the dark, without flashlights. Nowadays you wouldn't even think about letting your kids do that. Oh and we had to MAKE our costumes every year - there was no store bought nothing! I can honestly say I TorT up into college with some friends, but we always made our costumes. I think that is why I always try to make the girls' costumes.

How did you use to do Halloween?

Cammie - your neighborhood reminds of the movie Home Alone. Remember that? It's absolutely beautiful!!!

Tessa - yes, it depends on where you live here how they celebrate Halloween. Some schools are very politically correct and won't allow "Halloween" celebrations, here they have a Fall Party with a character parade. The kids dress up as their favorite book character, and then bring the book with them to school. I don't get it. Halloween for kids is innocent. I remember dressing up as a gypsy, a hobo, etc, and never thought about the devil or all that. Ally's old school didn't fall for the political correctness. They had Halloween parties and <gasp!> Christmas parties and Easter parties! People don't want Halloween because it's the devil but then they don't want Christmas and Easter because it's Christian - I just don't get it.

Times have changed so much and it's really sad. As a kid we ALWAYS had Christmas and Easter parties and now they're "Winter" and "Spring" parties. That's another reason I admired Ally's last school so much. They said to heck with political correctness. It is what it is, why disguise it to satisfy a handful, when the vast majority celebrate the real holiday?

I'm paying for playing hooky yesterday - but the nice thing about working from home is that I could take off a few hours during the day, and then I worked for a couple of hours at night, and it's fine. Love that part of my job!

Debbie, just remember, we love you BECAUSE you're nuts! :rotfl2:

Good Morning Girls.

It is a windy cold day here. 40 degrees and I have a ton of errands to run.
I am going to clean the car out before it gets any colder out and I wont get a chance.

You girls and your HSM3 I don't have anyone interested to see it so I hear it from you if it wasn't for you guys I don't think I would even know what that is.

Renee- I hope the monkeys are feeling a little bit better and you too. You must be so drained.

Kara- $40 for the weekend of relaxation would be well worth it! He'll realize it when he has to make his own dinner ;)

Cammie- Those are beautiful pictures of your street we are almost without leaves here. I can't believe you can smell the snow in the air

Tina- How did the sewing projects come out?

Tammie- I did finally place that order for baby bath, took me long enough. I've only been saying it for a month now. It should arrive today or tomorrow.

Love the pum pum pics we haven't gotten to that yet. Also I have to make it to costco to buy candy for Halloween!

Tina - that sounds like my old Halloweens. We lived on a busy street though so usually a couple of the dads would take a whole bunch of us kids trick or treating. They'd walk around and pull a wagon with a cooler of beer! :rotfl2: Yes, our costumes were always home made, too. I remember going a couple of years as a gypsy cause I was able to raid my mom's jewelry box for that and I loved it! And she put lots of makeup on me, too.

This year we're driving our golf cart with a cooler in the back! Our neighbors are gonna go with us so it should be fun. We'll just cruise around the neighborhood. I'm debating if we should decorate the golf cart, too!

Karajeboo - my kids have that 'dress as a literary person' thing at school and I have no idea who they should dress up as. They want to wear their costumes - Belle and Giselle, but I'm trying to make them understand that's not really a literary person. Oh and hello they tell us this on Monday with a phone call last night - mom and dad whip up those costumes for Friday. Give me a break!!! How about a few more weeks of a notice people!!

I have to just tell you quick, about the songs (and different words). This morning I was trying to get DD9 moving (tired from the movie) and I was trying to get her into the shower. I started singing
"Take My Hand, I'll Take The Lead, I'll Get You In The Shower, To Get Clean..."
She thought it was funny, she's 9 and not into the "you're embarassing me" stage her sister is and was at this age (thank goodness!!!)
Just had to share...it was funny!

Tinalala -We have dress up days once a year - last one was a literary theme - Alice in Wonderland is a good one, do you have the "Hungry Caterpillar" - head to toe green! Harry Potter, Narnia, Golden Compass etc all provide a few "different" ones. Mine went as the 2 girls from The Lion the witch and the wardrobe in their grandma's long fake fur coats!

We have a dress up based on "celebrity" next month.... a known person, present or historical, or a recognisable film or book or comic book or TV character. Makes it easier with so much choice - but mine want to be Hermione from Harry Potter and Kim Possible!!! At least they are easy outfits!:goodvibes
