Laura, we love Game Stop! We just picked up 2 games last week for around $15 each.

Jillian, I haven't checked the hours yet - I'll do that next week probably. Great job on the van! :thumbsup2

Hiya all,

Lorrie - we always go with the car option too... we stay off site so much easier - I also think it is nice to be able to go "out" to eat sometimes too not just on property....

It really cracks me up you girls saying you get lost on Disney roads.... we travel 9 hours to get over there, drive on the other side of the road to normal, in an automatic gearbox car (we are still mainly stick-shift over here) and think your roads are an absolute breeze....:goodvibes ESPECIALLY round disney property where there are ten tons of signposts.... I would soooooo love to see you all manage on "the magic roundabout" in Swindon UK - I think it is 5 (yes FIVE) interlinked roundabouts all together - even hubby panics a bit at that one ... see
http://www.armin-grewe.com/holiday/wiltshire/swindon-roundabout.htm

Anyhows - camera wise we also have 2 - MY (in case you are reading hubby it is MY!!!!) DSLR - an Olympus E410 - lightweight body shell, smaller than the Canon. And OUR small Canon IXUS950IS - takes fantastic pics and decent short video too.. same size as a packet of cigarettes - remember those?? (I tend to describe myself as a smokeaholic who hasn't had a ciggie in mmmmmmmmmm 11years 2months and 4 days..... approximately :lmao:)

Hope you are all fit and healthy....... the diet/thing is giving me a buzz right now i.e. it's still going well , so not quite so down....

Tessa
Tessa, that round about freaks me out! We have one small one that runs in a circle with five off/on options at our new Target. People come here from a state that can't drive :rolleyes1 and want to go the wrong way. IT IS CRAZY! I couldn't imagine that one with all the roundabouts hooked on! :scared1:

My Cannon A1000 is cig pack size too! :lmao: I think I'm really going to like it.

Good Friday Morning.

With 3 days to go I just scored a Minivan for our trip on Priceline for $244. We have been stressed out about not having enough room now we do.

Tessa- That rotary is awful I thought we had some bad ones here in Boston, but that takes the cake. Mike and I were in Rome and the Rotarys there made me sick.

Kara- Have you checked the park hours they changed on me.
Almost there - almost there - almost there!

That is a great deal on the van!

Kara - we have the best school system in TN - that said, think cream of the crap. :lmao: We're like 47th in the nation, so keep it in perspective. We have charter schools though and most of our schools are next to some sort of YMCA or Rec center so kids who's parents work can go straight over for after school things, etc. So you may have to pay, but you can still get the things in (music, art) that you want. It was the main reason we bought here - for the school system - since Carlos has an hour drive to and from downtown as a result, but Nashville city schools are really rough and they bus them around in effort to disperse them - so in Nashville you could live in a subdivision next to an Elementary, but your child could be zoned for a school almost 40 minutes away in order to keep the schools economically balanced. It is the craziest thing.

Laura...
Old Camera - Powershot S2IS (5 mega pixels) 10x optical zoom (that I love)
New Camera - Powershot A1000 (10 mega pixels) 4x optical zoom (good for size)

I really think I like the small one, but the flash charge does take longer in the smaller one so far- that is my only gripe.

Tammie -
Okay, from what I read on the smaller cameras, the grainy inside is just a function of the camera being smaller. That tends to happen. Read your manual (I know, but it does help) and you might find ways to reduce that. Some of it may be if you are using a flash - the flash will have a smaller area that it will work for - since it is physically smaller. As long as you are within 5 feet of subjects, it should be okay.

Also pay attention to if you are exceding your optical zoom and heading into digital zoom land. The digital zoom is often grainy - which is why the higher the optical zoom the better.

I've got to pay property tax today. It isn't in our escrow (city tax was reinstated this year) so I have to go and pay it at city hall today -because of course I waited until the last stinking day - and it is RAINING. :sad2:

On an upside - I downloaded Christmas pictures today! :rotfl2: :thumbsup2

Also Tessa have you ever been on the "Magic roundabout" in Hemel Hempstead yikes that 1 has 6 around it and you can drive both ways :scared1:

Just had lunch with Ally at school - it is soooo beautiful outside today so we sat outside at the picnic tables. She invited one of her friends to join us and this little gal was just so stinkin cute! Sweet little girl, too. They were talking about Ally's bday party and I told them not to discuss at school because we didn't invite everyone. So they were excited to be able to talk about it with me at lunch. I told them I was gonna get my hair and makeup done too, and I might even sing and dance with them. You should have seen their faces! :scared1: Yes, I AM one of those parents who live to embarass their children!!! :rotfl:

I think I definately belong in this thread :) I've never been to WDW but we're planning on going in September 2010 and I've started planning already... is it too early or am I just crazy? lol... I am a control FREAK. My wedding is my biggest accomplishment to date. I had itineraries for everyone in the party with time limits on all the things they had to do for the day... haha... well, can't wait to get to know some of you!!!

:lmao: Hahaha so very funny .. Thing is when i do it cj is just far too used to it that it has no impact and her friends go along with it out of fear i suspect :lmao:

Welcome to our crazy thread! We are all crazy control freaks in every aspect of our lives. I love that you had itineraries for your wedding!!! That is just plain SMART!!! And a little anal, which would qualify you as a control freak, too! :rotfl2:

And no, it's NEVER too early to start planning a trip to WDW! These boards are the best place to get info!

Welcome :flower3:

Welcome! Glad you found us.

So... you know I haven't heard back from the dr. yet. :rotfl:

Long story short, my pred was suppose to be 2 pills a day for 7 days, then 1 pill a day for 7 days. WELL, I half way paid attention and did 2 pills in the am and 1 pill in the pm for 7 days and then stopped monday cold turkey. I have been a MESS! Guess now I know why! :rotfl2:

I'm waiting to see if they want me to continue cold turkey (which would be my thought) or do a taper dose. :sad2: IDIOT! I sware! I thought of the episode where Elaine gets noted as being "difficult" in her chart - only mine should say IDIOT! :lmao: :rotfl2: :thumbsup2

I miss that show - why did they have to stop? :confused3

Anywho. Paid taxes. Ran through our Mexican drive thru and got tacos - Tacos de Carne Asada, corn tortillas (double), guac, lime, pico. YUMMY. Fresh fried corn chips - cheese dip. Mild salsa that makes you breath fire.

Then I remember(after I scarf them down)...

It is Lent. It is Friday.... I AM AN IDIOT! :headache:

1. I will live! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
2. No taper dose needed because I have probably 60 mgs of prednasone pumping through my system still.
3. Expect to be an anxious mess for at least 14 days.:scared1:
4. Take Zyrtec & Benydril for the head rash. Red hair dye is one of the most common issues that people have. :confused3 Thank goodness it was in foils. Could you imagine if it was on my scalp? :scared1:

Oh Renee!!! I feel so sorry for you. Please be VERY careful with that prednisone! And I think the Lord will forgive you! He has more pressing things to be mad at! AND....I heard that if you eat meat unconsciously that it doesn't count either because you didn't eat the meat knowing you shouldn't have! Does that make sense?

And are you sure that the rash doesn't have anything to do with the Prednisone?

I'm sorry Lorrie, but I"m laughing at you right now. You just sound so frantic. Deep breaths.......

Well, I might have sold the Barbie Jeep! I have a woman that is trying to decide if it's worth it to come get it - I have no idea where she lives, but she just said she'll probably come out after she pick up her kids from school. So I need to make sure Jeff is here, or I'll call my neighbor to keep an eye out - so if you don't hear from me later, you might see me on the national news! :rotfl2: I hate someone coming to my house - I was gonna meet her down the road, but actually, I'd rather her come here so I'm not in some parking lot when I'm chopped into little pieces.

Oh, and Jeff and Ally are NOT going to SC! So I don't get my ME weekend! I was so looking forward to it - I was gonna work in the yard tomorrow, and paint tonight and Sunday. Oh, well, there's always next time....

Debbie - well - can I say absolutely - no. BUT, I was at first blaming the pred. I noticed the rash within a few hours of dying my hear - so I'm thinking it could very well be that. It must be an allergic response because the Benydril really helps. Looks like a sunburn with acne. Itches, but hurts if you scratch. Very not nice.

Kara - see, laugh at me and your ME weekend goes POOF! :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2:

H*ll, I'm laughing at me at this point. I'm a MESS! I am a NEUROTIC MESS! I feel like some drug addict must feel coming off this stuff - all jittery. It is not nice.

Did I mention it is not Nice?

I always thought that when I get around to selling on Craig's list that I would have the buyers meet me at the mall or a very public parking lot...never have done it though.

Listen...it is totally that medicine! It is VERY powerful and not fun! Just ride it out baby! Too bad you can't escape somewhere!

She is coming to get the jeep! :cool1: She said she'd be here in about 15 minutes but I think she's crazy - I'm thinking more like a 1/2 hr. so if you don't hear from me by 3pm, think the worst!:lmao:

Okay, Mama needs some Disney spending cash, so I decided I'm having a yard sale! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Maybe in 2 weeks - maybe again - who knows. TOYS TOYS and more TOYS! Decorating items, all bargain basement prices.... EVERYTHING MUST GO! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I NEED Norway's School bread!

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I'm just feeling plain stupid today. :upsidedow
